There is so much free information out there on the net about SEO.
Remember SEO is not the end all and be all of internet marketing.
Some free sites to visit:
www.inboundinternetmarketingblog.com
www.sethgodin.com
www.davidmeermanscott.com
www.hubspot.com
Hubspot is a great company with a ton of free stuff.
Use their free webgrader.
That depends on SEO company prices and competivity of your website. For example if your site gets to the top positions of major search engines for quite competitive keywords, you can cover the costs tenfold. You can sell links at high prices, earn a lot money from affiliate marketing and AdSense.
Here you can hire the best and cheapest SEO companies:
http://www.nettrafficsecrets.com/res/GAF
Start a project and offer them to bring you to the first pages of major search engines (believe me, some of them can do it). Since many companies will bid for your project, you will get the best price. My advice is to hire SEO company for one-time work and use escrow service for payment. Do not complete payment to them before you see results.
Then if after some time your website lose position, you can hire them again to fix it.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Instead of putting up a standard Under construction page I would put up a page of text describing what will be on the site. This way if search engines find it they will know how to index it.
Since you are an seo expert, you should have no problem finding work. Set up your own business doing seo. You should not have a problem marketing your services since you are an seo expert.
Get a domain name, website/ and set it up. market your services. Also, I am looking for someone in your area of the world to start a team for my online business that I am in. It is a global company that operates in several different languages. Chinees, japanees, korean, german, spanish. Very small start up cost. I need to create a team in several countries. Very profitable business from home.
Email me mark@homeforwork.ws
300~600 words is the best choice, but to get better SEO, you need to focus on the keyword density as well
My insights about SEO, I agree that it's future is becoming cloudy and stormy because many site's owner nowadays uses a blackhat approach for getting higher ranking position in SERP, in short they are cheating just to display a high ranking of their sites without following the legal optimization procedure. I've read one article on the internet that says like this, read the whole story from the link below:
A 404 simply creates an SEO vacuum.
Set up a keyword-rich coming soon page and provide a form so visitors can leave their email addresses. When the site rolls out, shoot them all an email to let them know. Even better, give them some premium access, a sneak peek or some other promotional offer. No reason you can't start generating interest now.
SEO guy has a good point. My site is new and is on top 4 of google for the term guaranteeing results from advertising the site is http://www.netadvertisinggroup.com I used a long keyword phrase.
Use long keyword phrases for a new site and build them smaller as they go on. this is a 4 word phrase my next goal is the phrase guaranteeing advertising results wich is currently on the 4th page of google the next step will be two word phrases like ad agency
On Black Hat It works for a short time then leaves you in the gutter. Don't use them because you can get banned. Also they tend not to create repeat business which is what make you money, bringing the consumer back.
Submit to Digg and Delicious for more traffic, however Searchles and many of the other 2nd tier social networks save everything and get it all indexed in Google and Yahoo! so there is much more value to improve SEO rankings from the 2nd tier social networks.
don't worry about the SEO right now, the world is beyond need of SEO experts and only needs good copywriters. Learn how to write copy that includes SEO magic.
It really depends on how intent and focused you are in learning it. I know of folks who have gained massive knowledge in SEO in just 2 months by making sure that they read and understand key sources of information on SEO such as:
1. Webmaster guidelines of the search engines
2. Press rooms and announcements of the search engines
- Google Press Releases http://googlepress.blogspot.com/
- Yahoo! Press Room http://yhoo.client.shareholder.com/press/releases.cfm
- Microsoft Press Room http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/newsroom/msn/default.mspx
3. Key blogs on SEO such as Matt Cutts Blog http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/
4. Forums where SEOs gather to discuss, share insights and learn from each other
- DigitalPoint's Yahoo Forums (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=6)
- WebmasterWorld.com http://www.webmasterworld.com
- SearchEngineWatch's MSN Forums http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8
5. Attendance in important SEO conferences attended and organized by the key players in the search engine optimization field such as
- Search Engine Strategies http://www.searchenginestrategies.com/
- Brett Tabke's Webmasterworld Pubcon http://www.pubcon.com/
- Danny Sullivan's http://searchmarketingexpo.com/
Books and ebooks can give you some of the basics of SEO, but often changes have already been made in the algorithms before the book is published making the book or ebook a little outdated at best. Forums are the best way to learn of the current trends in SEO because every single hiccups of the search engines are dissected in the forums

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) now-a-days covers quite a range of items that your website will need.
First of all there is no single item that will do the trick. Its a combination of of various pieces to the puzzle. Part of it lies within your website and the other part you can call an outreach program by getting your links onto other websites (e.g. blogs, social bookmarks, forums, press releases, etc)
Outside of that you also are missing a DocType in your HTML code. Take a look here:
http://www.w3.org/QA/2002/04/valid-dtd-list.html
While you're at the W3C take a look at your validation errors too:
http://validator.w3.org/
We have an article that we wrote you can read here:
http://www.smartfindsmarketing.com/articles.php?p=articles_define_marketing
Also, touch base with Webmaster forums for more information like the following three:
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/
http://www.v7n.com/forums/
http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/
Also, here is another good resource:
http://www.seochat.com
One last thing. You will need to get into the process of generator a sitemap of your website regularly as a sitemap.xml file. You can read more about this at http://www.sitemaps.org created by Google, Yahoo and MSN and you will need a sitemap generator at http://www.smartfindsmarketing.com/xml_sitemaps.php You can then submit your sitemaps to the search engines in their respective areas.
Learn about Link Popularity, Google Page Rank, Alexa Traffic Rank, Keyword Density
Hope this helps

Good Luck! :)
Best and most affordable are a contradiction. To get the best help, you need to hire someone who is very experienced and skilled -- and who therefore can command high fees. For a low budget, you'll get less experienced and less skillful efforts.
A company that says that they will put you in 50,000 places or guarantee a top-10 position is almost certainly a scam. The 50,000 places goal is NOT SEO at all, it's spamming. The guarantee is usually worthless if you parse it out. In some cases, the SEO firm simply uses PPC bidding and thus as soon as the contract ends, your traffic ends, too.
Unfortunately, SEO requires a lot of planning and work, and takes many months to pay off.
Using Google AdWords is also more complex than most folks understand. It's certainly a little bit easier to launch and manage, but the cost of PPC advertising is also impacted by your SEO work.
Good luck.
