Please don't say edit the registry. I have Vista, Windows Defender, Norton Internet Security (valid subscription from my old system) - I ?Reset? the Internet explorer settings. In Internet Options > Advanced. - I deleted all temp files, cookies etc. - I scanned the computer with Defender, Norton & Sympatico's online Secruity Threat & Virus Scan. No problems were found. I have been checking out different browsers and they are all affected Firefox Avant Slim Browser Should I uninstall the browsers? Crawler.com is connect to my browsers. It looks like a harmless site. I guess not. . Nothing works. I have tried everyone?s suggestions. ?Spybot? - isn't for Vista ?SuperAntiSpyware? ? won't run in Safe mode ? It didn't find anything in the regular mode. I downloaded Opera and I'm having pretty much the same results. I was able to get my Yahoo and Google home pages back. But not MSN. I can't access the web pages all I get back is a search. But I can use the links in Answers. Can someone give me a link to the download page of AVG and SpywareBlaster I sent a report to Crawler & received an auto acknowledgement. So I hope to hear from them. . Can you give me a link to Yahoo Toolbar (US). If I can install it maybe I can break the link with Crawler

I understand that we should not pay for the security of our computers. Many others think the same way and created free softwares like Comodo, Crawler, Javacool....e.t.c.... What do you think is the best combination of free softwares? Are you currently using them on your Windows? I agree that there should be some compliments for the effort and time spent to create security softwares and I also lk the idea of giving a product for free to advertise for others. However, I don't agree with Cliffy's view ~"you get what you pay for" because it'd promote the idea of creating more malwares to get paid for creating security softwares at the same time. I believe security should be free at no cost but a wonderful solution always deserve some rewards, but not necessarily money.

i need to install a good, FREE program that'll block out porn sites and stuff like that. i tried using Crawlers Parental Control, it was effective in blocking out programs, but it completely crashed my computer, and wouldn't let me use AIM. any suggestions?

If i pay of a few credit cards my score will increase subtantially, my question is lets say today the credit card company reports my zero balances, to the 3 credit berous, dose my score jumps instantly or same day? of them receiving the report? or it takes few days weeks? months until the credit berous main frame computers or credit file crawlers register the change and asign the new score? soo anybody knows? the exact or aproximate times?

WEll i just got my own laptop and downloaded things i could not on my parents computer. well i downloaded crawler notes and all this free stuff. then my computer was really slow and my dad sis a scan. my computer was full of infections and people spying on me and i have not even had this for a month. well i dd not learn from the 244 infections that my dad got rid of. i just downloaded more things and have 47+ infections after 2 minutes. my default search engine has changes and my homepage has changed. how do i fix it all??? the thing i dowmlaoded wont let me change my search engine. it is sooo agrivating. whta do i do???

My computer is running really slow and i am trying to delete some of the programs that i dont need but am unsure what ones are ok to delete... Does anyone know of anyway to tell what ones are not needed for example things like: Crawler tool bar with web security guard? Aol connectivity services? Intervideo win dvd? Hello, I am having problems with web server(s) getting bogged down by google bots. I am looking for more information and help on this specific topic. The site that the google bots are looking up is HUGE- dozens of pages with hundreds of links. Google appears to be crawling the site at 5 minute intervals and all of this indexing (or whatever its doing) is taking up resources nad costing big money. I am afraid if I put a robots.txt file that the site will not come up as high on the google search page. Any help or info? I have found plenty of info that tells me "this is what a web crawler is" but nothing goes past that. All you computer gurus please help!!!!

I have been infested with crawler toolbar in my registry and xoft shows as follows,, crawler toolbar registry value and crawler toolbar registry file, also im infected with a keylogger called PC tattletale in my Registry and I can not rid of these spys,, can anyone explain how I can remove these spys from my registry??/ I have downloaded the super anti spy tool and it failed to remove the infections,, I thank you for giving me that link as it is a great tool and I will keep it,, I will try other suggewstions on the answer list here and I sure appreciate all of you helping mwe out here,, I do use AVG free and it got in somehow,

I downloaded SpywareTerminator to get rid of spyware only to find out IT is SPYWARE! I kept seeing zone alarm saying that crawler spyware terminator wanted to connect to the web. so I checked it out and this is the messege I recieved...... I am a beginner (newb) and need to know all the steps to do this. My goal is to mine 100 sites for information on a daily basis. Do I need a server? Can I do it from my home computer? Years ago I took a PERL course...but should I use Python? Please point me to a resource besides GOOGLE which I have spent hours researching. The answers I have found so far are over my head. I even got the book Spidering Hacks by O'Reilly. I need the basics of where to start. THANKS!
