  5. Resolved Question: Why does Havlat keep getting robbed?
  6. 17 Feb 2008 at 1:19pm
The Colorado announcers agre with me that he should have been awarded a penalty shot! Last week the San Jose announcers felt he should have been awarded a penalty shot. It's all moot now.....Chicago scored on the power-play! But still......................Havlat deserves penalty shots too! Bob I have no idea what you are talking about....Brodeur? As for Havlat and your fantasy team....sucks to be you. I have Toews on my hockey pool team....he got an assist! Mikey That Brodeur never occurred to me. I was surprised they called him up after bbring Crawford up for a game Mikey I was surprised that the Avs, within touching distance of the playoffs, came out as flat as they did. I was hoping to win a more competitive game against your guys. If it wasn't for Theodore, the score could have easily been 5-0, 6-0, etc. The only reason the Avs scored is that the game was still close. Zap Tallon and Savard don;t really want to dance this year, they want the team to get another year playing together. The 'feeling' about getting closer to the playoffs, is better than 'getting there, beating Detroit in round 1, and then losing in round 2'. Khabibulin isn't that far off, but nobody is saying anything. The only thing really being said about him is that it will take one hell of an offer to pry him away. What that means to Dale is anyone's guess.

found not guilty of kidnapping and murder of a 3 year old child. He had sat on death rose since his conviction in 1992. It seems to happen more and more.......... In Boston the other day, 3 men were awarded 101 MILLION dollars after serving 30 years on death rowe after being framed by the FBI for multable murders, who were ultiumately found not guilty. Now does any of this effect your position on the death penalty? And more importantly, how would feel if any of these guys were your father, brother, son, or husband? Next time it certainly could be.

  12. 17 Feb 2008 at 12:52pm
If there was a MOWO (music of white origin) then black people would say its racist. Why is it different the other way round? To JM - I am not white so quit being ignorant yourself, i am merely asking a question JM - you clearly have issues. All awards etc are for ALL races. My point is that an award such as MOBO is just for black people and is therefore racist JM - Oh dear you really do have some issues! Yahoo answers is here for anyone to ask any question. YOU have the choice to answer or not, you choose to answer so grow up when you do. If the questions annoy you so much then dont answer its very SIMPLE even for someone of your obvious low IQ : ) Who said i have a problem with race awards? I didnt! So there you go again being ignorant. I was simply asking a question, I am not racist in the slightest but it looks like you are Oh and thanks to Calliope who was able to answer my question is a mature well thought out way! (unlike JM hehe)

But what i mainly object to is the way they say that the most important thing is to get her through the shows. Isnt the most important thing fixing her problems ASAP , not just tiding her over until a more convenient time.

  26. 17 Feb 2008 at 10:43am
I just need some backup. I have done this already but i still need to make sure. Please remove any unneeded commas in the following paragraph. (this is the actual question) Most Canadians recognize ,Margaret Atwood, as one of our country?s finest novelists, but she also had an acclaimed, short-story writer, essayist, and poet. Born in Ottawa, she began publishing her poems when she was 19. Her first book, of poetry, Double Persephone, was published in 1961, and she won, the Governor General?s Award in 1966 for another volume, of poetry, (the Circle Game). She is the author, of several critically acclaimed novels. One of her best-known novels, The Handmaid?s Tale, earned a second, Governor General?s Award in 1986. Both The Handmaid?s Tale, and an earlier novel, Surfacing, have been made into films. Thank you! Lol why did you just add random commas, i said remove any unnecessary.. thank you zozo, but sry to say you should jut remove, not add, you did better than the other guy =D Thx Lisa..................

  30. 17 Feb 2008 at 10:28am
By Peter Slevin and Jose Antonio Vargas Washington Post Staff Writers Sunday, February 17, 2008; Page A12 MILWAUKEE, Feb. 16 -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Saturday urged the Democratic Party's unpledged delegates to make their own decisions about whether to support her or Sen. Barack Obama, predicting that the battle for the Democratic nomination will continue into the summer. "Superdelegates are a part of the process. They are supposed to exercise independent judgment," said Clinton (N.Y.), who wants to put into play hundreds of the unelected delegates, as well as large contingents from Michigan and Florida, where the candidates did not campaign. Clinton trails Obama (Ill.) in the count of pledged delegates, awarded on the basis of primary and caucus results. She said she believes superdelegates, appointed by the party, should not simply anoint the candidate who is leading after the primary season. My question is...why do we have rules? Who are the CLinton's

  48. 17 Feb 2008 at 6:37am
This is an award winning documentary about Buddhism in Tibet and the invasion of the Chinese. It is quite compelling I found it very well done and informative. If you have seen it what did you think? If you have not seen it then I highly recommend it. Yes Expresso I should have said that this is about Tibetan Buddhism which has differences from fundamentalist Buddhism. I liked Kundun too but I think this is less commercial. Thanks for the opinion

  53. Resolved Question: Are these great?
  54. 17 Feb 2008 at 4:42am
Women have strengths that amaze men. They carry children, they carry hardships, they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy. They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. Women wait by the phone for a "safe at home call" from a friend after a snowy drive home. Women have special qualities about them. They volunteer for good causes. They are pink ladies in hospitals, they bring food to shut ins. They are child care workers, executives, attorneys, stay-at-home moms, biker babes and your neighbors. They wear suits, jeans, and they wear uniforms. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up for injustice. They are in the front row at PTA meetings. They vote for the person that will do the best job for family issues. They walk and talk the extra mile to get their children in the Right school and for getting their family the right health care. They write to the editor, their congressmen and to the "powers that be" for things that make for a better life. They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution. They do without new shoes so their children can have them. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. Women are honest, loyal, and forgiving. They are smart, knowing that knowledge is power. But they still know how to use their softer side to make a point. Women want to be the best for their family, their friends, and themselves. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a new marriage. Their hearts break when a friend dies. They have sorrow at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. A woman's touch can cure any ailment. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart. She can make a romantic evening unforgettable. Women come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes. They live in homes, apartments and cabins. They drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin! Women do more than just give birth. They bring joy and hope. They give compassion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and friends. And all they want back is a hug, a smile and for you to do the same to people you come in contact with. MEN Men are good at lifting heavy stuff.

  64. 17 Feb 2008 at 12:33am
(Mind you these stats are from 93' and I can't be arsed to try and update them) The last penalty to be scored by an away side at Old Trafford was in 1993 and only five away players have been awarded penalties there since the start of the premiership?! And yet in the season before this article was written, Van Nistelrooy scored nine penalties at OT! Source: http://football.guardian.co.uk/news/theknowledge/0,9204,984768,00.html Like I said Gabriel, I couldn't be arsed to update the facts but thank you for doing that. Still doesn't change the fact that away teams *hardly* get awarded penalties at OT...

  68. 16 Feb 2008 at 10:48pm
How many Democrat voters did not vote knowing their votes were irrelevant at the time in those states? Would the results have been different if the voters in those states knew their votes would count? Do you think Obama would have gotten his name on the ballot in Michigan if he knew the votes would count? Do you think Hillary would be fighting for "fairness" and the voters rights in those states if she lost those states? Does she only care about those states because she won there?

I dreamed she was teaching Future Problem Solvers (my favorite subject that I have won awards in and am worried about), and she just suddenly died from a pulmonary embolism or heart attack. The funny thing is she turned into the Expo marker she was holding. I woke up crying, in fact bawling, drenched in sweat. She's like my grandmother. I care about her soooo much. Please help me.

  72. 16 Feb 2008 at 10:21pm
In light of the many options back-dating scandals in the press, I'm wondering: When a corporation makes a non-cash restatement of its finances to properly account for employee stock options that had been awarded at below-market prices, is that a loss to the shareholders? With all the tech companies restating their finances in the options back-dating scandals, I am wondering if and how shareholders are hurt by this? If the employees made greater profits on their stock options due to back-dating, how does this harm the (current or past) shareholders, if at all?

  95. Resolved Question: Why does Hillary want Michigan to count?
  96. 16 Feb 2008 at 6:23pm
Even if they seated FL delegates, isn't it unfair to award Michigan delegates to Hillary when Obama's name wasn't even on the ballot? The people didn't even get a chance to vote for him. That's really not on the up and up......I think there is going to be a major fall out if that happens.

My mother died of a wrongful death, the family sued the hospital having one brother as the administrator of the estate and the case was settled. We were awarded a settlement. We had agreed amongst one another that everything would be split evenly as we all paid for the laywer. It seems now my brother has ignored all phone calls from the family and wants to seperate the money his way. Can he do this? We are unsure because we all received letters to sign a motion for an order permitting distribution of funds.

  99. Resolved Question: Extracurricular activities: Purposeful, or bogus waste of ...
  100. 16 Feb 2008 at 5:52pm
OK back when I was in grade school/JH/HS, extracurricular activites were all the rage: be they Little League, band practice, instrument lessons, soccer leagues, club meetings, chess matches, etc; but now that I am 27 I look back and see that my former classmates arent exactly all pro MLB players, orchestra virtuosos, symphony conductors, chess champions, and award winning Fortune 500 businessmen/women and politicians, so what was all that fuss about? In my off time I was in Boy Scouts when I was younger and then took afterschool jobs in my teen years, and I think I derived a LOT more from my afterschool experiences than my peers did. To me I didn't want anything to do with extracurriculars, I felt the school already HAD their pound of flesh from me. All I ever did was faithfully attend class every day, earned good grades, did all my assignments and behaved, wasn't that enough for them? In my off hours, I made money, which instilled in me a strong work ethic and good life habits. Mike, thank you SO much for reading my question. I did NOT do extracurriculars, I did 'Scouts because I WANTED to and thought it was cool. I still do. Today you get a gold star for reading comprehension. Bob, I totally agree with that, but does that mean any kid in sports or instrument lessons has 2 parents expecting it will make him or her the next concert virtuoso or the Michael Jordan, or Joe Montana of the future?!< >
