You have to clear certain challenges... I don't remember exactly what you need to do but I believe you unlock songs and characters by playing through the one-player mode.

he Bing Bang Theory Theme Song - Bare Naked Ladies Our whole universe was in a hot dense state, Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started. Wait... The Earth began to cool, The autotrophs began to drool, Neanderthals developed tools, We built a wall (we built the pyramids), Math, science, history, unraveling the mysteries, That all started with the big bang! Since the dawn of man is really not that long, As every galaxy was formed in less time than it takes to sing this song. A fraction of a second and the elements were made. The bipeds stood up straight, The dinosaurs all met their fate, They tried to leap but they were late And they all died (they froze their asses off) The oceans and pangea See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya Set in motion by the same big bang! It all started with the big BANG! It's expanding ever outward but one day It will cause the stars to go the other way, Collapsing ever inward, we won't be here, it wont be hurt Our best and brightest figure that it'll make an even bigger bang! Australopithecus would really have been sick of us Debating out while here they're catching deer (we're catching viruses) Religion or astronomy, Encarta, Deuteronomy It all started with the big bang! Music and mythology, Einstein and astrology It all started with the big bang! It all started with the big BANG!

Brian Wilson (he's still alive) was one of the founding members of The Beach Boys with his brothers Carl and Dennis (both dead). Was he famous? Well, yeah, he wrote most of the songs for the band, such as California Girls. He developed stage fright and didn't tour much with the band after their initial success, but continued to write songs and make records with the group. (Glen Campbell used to tour with the Beach Boys as Brian's replacement). In an effort to get over his phobias he got hooked up with this psychiatrist who was very controlling, kept Brian doped up and prevented Brian from interacting with his family, friends and band mates. The psychiatrist even claimed songwriting credit on a solo album. Brian Wilson is considered a musical genius of sorts, and is credited by Paul McCartney as an inspiration for the Sgt. Peppers album. (The Beach Boys released an album called 'Pet Sounds' as a concept album prior to the Beatles release of Sgt. Pepper). Brian Wilson just released a new solo album. He is also the father of Carnie Wilson who was in the group Wilson/Phillips.
In the early 2000s, the song was used in television and radio advertising for a state lottery. In 2002, it was featured in the episode My Fruit Cups on the show Scrubs. The song was also featured in the end credits of The Trouble with Money.

And I quote, Barenaked Ladies (often abbreviated BNL) is a Canadian alternative rock band currently composed of Jim Creeggan, Kevin Hearn, Steven Page, Ed Robertson, and Tyler Stewart, and formerly Andy Creeggan. They formed in 1988 in Scarborough, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto, and are best known for their hit singles, One Week, Pinch Me, If I Had $1000000 and Brian Wilson, and for their light-hearted and comedic performance style.
I don't think they've used openers for a few years now. Sometimes, in the second act, they refer to the opening act - themselves - as if it was a seperate band.
