Gee yer mean was gonna cite the School of Athens - - - actually Raphael was more renound for the sound of his melodius voice laughter, he was an Art Promoter Par Excellent and the cite painting is proof on how he could flatter cajole. Modernist suspect he was one of thise foot tappers. This pict has teeny tiny unmentionables on display along with ample breast-- http://www.theartgallery.com.au/ArtEducation/greatartists/Raphael/about/ Later Raphael worked in Tuscany and Umbria where the work of Leonardo da Vinci - especially compositional devices - influenced his development. Evidence of this can be seen in La Belle Jardiniere (Virgin and Child with the Infant St. John the Baptist) one of a number of paintings completed at this time of The Virgin and the Child. But a personal fave would be Baldassare (Balthasar) Castiglione (1514/5) But others may like this one again with teeny tiny unmentionables ( as a society we have retrogressed I cannot even say the part without a Yamster tearing out my heart back then it was art) http://www.theartgallery.com.au/ArtEducation/greatartists/Raphael/holyfamily/ The Holy Family (known as The Great Holy Family of Francois I) Canvas 81½ x 55 (207 x 140 cm) Louvre (entered in 1882) Peace........................

Tragedies like Macbeth, Hamlet, King Lear, Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet, and Othello are most often taught in high schools. Comedies include Twelfth Night, As You Like It, Love's Labors Lost, Taming of the Shrew, and Much Ado About Nothing that entertain and amuse audiences all over the world. They all have a happy ending. While kings are mentioned in many of his tragedies, the plays that fall under the histories categories are about British Kings. There are three plays about Henry IV, one about Henry V, and three about Henry VI. He also wrote about Richard II and III and Henry VIII among others. In addition to this a type of sonnet is named after him. Other famous works of poetry include The Rape of Lucrece and Venus and Adonis.
have your lawyer contact the lawyers who represent the artist or museum and get permission in writing.
www.poets.org It's OK to learn. Nothing wrong with some internet research.
I guess the obvious answer (and the easiest) is Andy Warhol who explored the very nature of mass reproduction in his paintings of Marilyn and the Campbells soup tin, for instance. See link attached to the Warhol museum etc I like the previous post regarding Gentilleschi, which has reminded me of the two versions of the Madonna of the Rocks by Leonardo (one at the Louvre and one at the National Gallery in London). See the second link to a Wake Forest University site
For Johann CHRISTIAN Bach, Orione was one of the first works to use Clarinets! His Opera La Clemenza di Scipione was very popular in 1778. 18 and Life was a big hit too... oh wait that was Sebastian Bach of Skid Row...
Vincent Van Gogh's sunflowers, Jackson Pollock, Brett Whitely's works, Claude Monet's Water Lily's, Matisse - papercuts created while disabled
he did a lot of paintings but i guess his best work was OPEN WINDOW and WOMAN WITH THE HAT( a painting of his wife). These paintings started fauvism (first of the most important isms in 20th century painting). It is the use of bold colors and contrasts. red against gree, orange against blue, yellow against violet. This instantly changed his financial situation and remained a fauve all his life. Some of his other works are: The Dinner Table, Compote And Glass Pitcher, La Coiffure, Carmelina, Joy of Life, The Blue Nude, The Dessert, Harmony in Red, The Red Studio, The Pink Nude, Lady in Blue,The Slave, and his last one is Seated Nude, among a few. He was a prolific painter and sculptor up until his death in 1954. He was regarded as the most important French painter of the 20th century.
Probably his most famous is The Venus of Urbino http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/John_Wilkes/VenusOfUrbino/full.gif Other famous works are Salome with Head of John the Baptist http://www.doriapamphilj.it/img/salome450.jpg and his Portrait of Alfonso d'Avalos, marqués del Vasto, which is the 12th most expensive painting ever sold (78 million USD) http://www.theartwolf.com/imagenestAW/Titian_avalos.jpg His most famous portrait is Man with a glove http://www.repro-tableaux.com/kunst/titian_639/man_glove_hi.jpg All of these were painted during the Renaissance. Titian, or Tiziano Vecelli, was the leader of the Venetian School of painting during the Renaissance.
Probably his Pomp and Circumstance March No 1 in D major, also known later as Land of Hope and Glory, and the Nimrod from the Enigma Variations. Also highly esteemed are his two symphonies (1908 and 1911), the Introduction and Allegro for strings (1905), and his Violin Concerto (1910) and Cello Concerto (1919). http://www.sterlingtimes.org/memorable_images15.htm There's a piece I love very much which was played at the funeral of the Queen Mother, but I can't remember the name. (Edit: I think it's Salut d'Amour.)
Oh, yeah, isee this. However, it kind of gets me to want to read those books. Twilight (if you are a Twi-hater, hear me out here! There's good in it, but please don't just turn away!) mirrors different books. Romeo and Juliet in New Moon and it mentions Wuthering Heights a lot in Eclipse. Plus, Bella mentions some Jane Austen books in Twilight. I never felt compelled to read the classics, but after these books, I kind of want to read some! I'm eager to pick up Pride and Prejudice this summer, or maybe even Wuthering Heights. The reason for all these parallels are because of the common forbidden love factor (in RJ at least) and because, well, the main character likes to read! However, when I write, I stay as far away as I can from this kind of thing. I don't even like to MENTION real books (okay, I've snuck in little mentions of HP at points, but I'll probably take them out). I think the Outsiders started this trend, with putting other books into its own. The Outsiders had Gone with the Wind, and even though I don't THINK it relates (haven't read it), it still has that whole connection.
His Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, published in 1687, is said to be the greatest single work in the history of science. In this work, Newton described universal gravitation and the three laws of motion, laying the groundwork for classical mechanics, which dominated the scientific view of the physical universe for the next three centuries and is the basis for modern engineering. Newton showed that the motions of objects on Earth and of celestial bodies are governed by the same set of natural laws by demonstrating the consistency between Kepler's laws of planetary motion and his theory of gravitation, thus removing the last doubts about heliocentrism and advancing the scientific revolution. In mechanics, Newton enunciated the principles of conservation of momentum and angular momentum. In optics, he invented the reflecting telescope and developed a theory of colour based on the observation that a prism decomposes white light into a visible spectrum. He also formulated an empirical law of cooling and studied the speed of sound. In mathematics, Newton shares the credit with Gottfried Leibniz for the development of calculus. He also demonstrated the generalized binomial theorem, developed the so-called Newton's method for approximating the zeroes of a function, and contributed to the study of power series. In a 2005 poll of the Royal Society asking who had the greater effect on the history of science, Newton was deemed much more influential than Albert Einstein he never married Newton died in London on 31 March 1727 [OS: 20 March 1726, and was buried in Westminster Abbey. His half-niece, Catherine Barton Conduitt, served as his hostess in social affairs at his house on Jermyn Street in London; he was her very loving Uncle, according to his letter to her when she was recovering from smallpox. Although Newton, who had no children, had divested much of his estate onto relatives in his last years, he actually died intestate.
