  3. Resolved Question: Anyone know this movie?
  4. 23 May 2008 at 9:07pm
I know that most folks are gonna say something quick like FRankenstein when I say this, but I'm looking for a movie about this doctor who builds this guys out of people's parts and skin and brings him to life, but when the dead/alive guy finds love, he tries to escape. That's all I know, except that in the movie, there was a lot of white background. And it's definitely not a Frenkenstein movie!!!!!!

  11. Resolved Question: Please would you rate my Poem?
  12. 23 May 2008 at 6:49pm
The dog was so hungary and looking up with eyes so clear Wondering if i would feed him was his only fear. Touched by his hunger and feeling his refrain Made me touched by his loneliness and pitiful pain. I taught him to sit on my demand He was sittin there for my command. Poor old dog his master doesnt care Old dog just looks at me with a pitiful stare. I feed him pet him which he desperately wants more I do what i can but i cant ignore. I ask myself why do folks let their pets roam When all they need is love with a loving home. True story and i just put it into a poem..

  15. Resolved Question: Asus motherboard CPU fan...?
  16. 23 May 2008 at 6:29pm
Hi there... I've received a great deal of help here in the past and, I regret , I have another question that is probable obvious to those in the know. I am assembling my own system using an Asus m2n-mx se motherboard. It came with a Coolmaster heatsink. The bit that is troubling me is the fan connection. The CPU fan connector on the motherboard has 4 pins with a plastic notch if front of the lower three. The case fan connector has the same notch with three pins. The fan connector plug has three holes. It fits the notched part of the pc fan and the case fan connector perfectly. I know this sounds a little lame...but which one should it go in...? Is it safe with one spare pin in the CPU fan slot, or foregoing the quiet technology bit, can or should I connect it into the case fan point. Sorry to waffle folks, but it was the only way I could get my point across...I think. Cheers for your help. Niv.

And start having diplomatic talks with them? I agree with Mr. Obama that USA will have to revise its foreign policy in how to deal some "unfriendly rogues countries" with governments Washington seems to dislike them intensely. Admit it, folks: playing "Rambo" or "Batman and Robin" have made USA a pariah with too many countries. Are we going to continue "bashing" whom we dislike? Ridiculous. Feedback, guys.

  28. 23 May 2008 at 4:30pm
Christians at War (John F. Kendrick - 1916) Onward, Christian soldiers! Duty's way is plain; Slay your Christian neighbors, or by them be slain, Pulpiteers are spouting effervescent swill, God above is calling you to rob and rape and kill, All your acts are sanctified by the Lamb on high; If you love the Holy Ghost, go murder, pray and die. Onward, Christian soldiers! Rip and tear and smite! Let the gentle Jesus bless your dynamite. Splinter skulls with shrapnel, fertilize the sod; Folks who do not speak your tongue deserve the curse of God. Smash the doors of every home, pretty maidens seize; Use your might and sacred right to treat them as you please. Onward, Christian soldiers! Eat and drink your fill; Rob with bloody fingers, Christ okays the bill, Steal the farmers' savings, take their grain and meat; Even though the children starve, the Savior's bums must eat, Burn the peasants' cottages, orphans leave bereft; In Jehovah's holy name, wreak ruin right and left. Onward, Christian soldiers! Drench the land with gore; Mercy is a weakness all the gods abhor. Bayonet the babies, jab the mothers, too; Hoist the cross of Calvary to hallow all you do. File your bullets' noses flat, poison every well; God decrees your enemies must all go plumb to hell. Onward, Christian soldiers! Blight all that you meet; Trample human freedom under pious feet. Praise the Lord whose dollar sign dupes his favored race! Make the foreign trash respect your bullion brand of grace. Trust in mock salvation, serve as tyrant's tools; History will say of you: "That pack of Goddamn fools."

America is suppose to be a nation of of laws our laws are enforced and people are expected to comply with the laws of America. I ask how can America continue to be a stable nation of laws when our laws towards immigration are being called unjust or unfair or unacceptable. Currently we have millions of people in America who we do not know anything about.Millions of people are using fake or stolen documents ,how many I ask is this keeping America as a country of laws and how is it keeping America safe when many of those folks do not have any documents to trace them back to wherever they came from ? Another question I ask, how can we run background checks on anybody with the enormous of amount of document fraud in use anybody can say they are anybody and they can be from any where and could would we ending having to use the honor system? Another question I would like ask in any immigration raid , why do Churches,La Raza, supporters for illegals always overlook what has been happening is that many Laws are being broken that the government can't ignore. 1) Identity Theft, 2) Social Security card fraud, 3) Illegal Immigration...Do you think that the America we love and know is vastly becoming a country that will be unstable with an unceratin question.. Please offer your insight into this and where do you see our country being like in the next 10 years ? "fastly" isnt a word.(Fastly)(adv.) Firmly; surely.

  31. Resolved Question: Tell me why I shouldn't like John McCain?
  32. 23 May 2008 at 4:14pm
I don't really consider myself strictly a republican or a democrat, and Hilary and Obama have failed to impress me. The only reason I have right now to dislike John McCain is that he wants to make it even harder for poor folks like me and my husband to buy a home. I heard him on NPR saying that people should be able to put down 20% on a home, which I don't agree with. We are only trying to get approved for an $70,000-$80,000 loan, so please don't lecture me about trying to live beyond our means. My real question is: are there any really good reasons not to like John McCain? Any wild, unreasonable beliefs he might bring to the presidency or crazy ideas I should know about? Because right now he's looking like the best candidate.

  33. Resolved Question: Don't you believe Hillary will accept Obama's VP as "bette...
  34. 23 May 2008 at 4:09pm
Ok folks, let's face the facts here... Obama is the presumptive Democratic nominee, so there's that. Hillary, in a matter of minutes perhaps, will bow out of the race conceding victory to Obama..ok, there's that. So, let's not kid ourselves, John McCain and his choice for VP will be running against Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton come November. Now, there is so much speculation about whether or not Hillary, while reluctantly admitting defeat will, in a moment of enlightenment, realize her only hope to stay in America's face would be to accept the (yet to be) offering from Obama to share his ticket. Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? I'm just sayin'... Ok, if for no other reason then... "UNIFICATION" of the Democratic Party whereby the Howard Dean's and other Dem leaders feel this will be the only chance they have to get a Democrat into the office of President since the Dem ticket would then have the votes of both Obama and Hillary supporters who have backed their candidate throughout the campaign. btw... I'm for McCain so please don't misconstrue my intent here.

  35. Resolved Question: Would this bother you?
  36. 23 May 2008 at 3:56pm
I used to live an an apartment building where the tenants had to use the laundromat; there was no laundry room in the building. It was within walking distance so most could get there easily. After using it for about two years a group of recently arrive immigrants (not sure if they were legal or not) started taking in laundry and using this facility to do it, monopolizing most of the machines at all hours of the day. Several people complained to the owner; he did nothing. Obviously not; it didn't effect him making money. Would this bother you? Do you think these folks ought to have been prohibited from using a facility that others rely on to run a business "under the table?" I admire the work ethic but to be honest it used to get on my last nerve. On top of this their kids would run all over the place like it was a playground. Miss Jen: I appreciate your position. Understand that these folks were not doing their own laundry. This was an apartment building bordering an upper middle class neighborhood; they were taking in laundry of the wealthy folks in that neighborhood and washing it for money. In other words using the laundromat to run a business. I know this for a fact. It does matter if they are legal or not; if you're not legal you're not supposed to be here. I intentionally left out race, country of origin, etc. because I don't feel it matters. Folks: I appreciate all the responses and are reading them all. I want to be a bit clearer: 1. These folks did not live in my apartment building. I don't know where they lived. 2. We had no laundry room in our building. So, we were going to a laundromat. 3. The family in question was taking in laundry from wealthy homeowners in the area who even though they own machines had no time to do it. 4. The family was monopolizing the laundromat to do this laundry; in other words running a business in a public laundry facility. 5. As the loads would be done, one of the family members would deliver them in a big SUV and then come back for more. TO SAROJABU: Yes. You are exactly correct. Everyone look at the response. Surojabu, accept my apology as I misspelled your name. One more thing. I no longer live there so I don't want anyone to have to spend time advising me on how to get my laundry done. Sorry for not mentioning this sooner. Great answers thus far and apparently a passionate topic. Robert: Myself and others shouldn't be able to do laundry because someone wants to run what's most likely an illegal, tax free business? Robert, Excuse the all caps. Its to differentiate my answers from your questions: Would it make a difference if it was some entrepreneurial boy scouts trying to make some money for summer camp or some homeless people trying to make some income so they could have a place to live? IT WOULDN'T MATTER TO ME WHO IT IS. YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE RUNNING A BUSINESS OUT OF A PUBLIC PLACE. I don't think I'd ever give all of my clothes to an illegal immigrant expecting them to get washed and folded in a nasty public facility. I'd take them to the cleaners. It takes 2 to tango. I AGREE WITH YOU. I KNOW PEOPLE WHO HAVE DONE THIS AND I'VE TOLD THEM WHAT I THINK OF IT.

  40. 23 May 2008 at 3:26pm
Is Judaism Folkish? Its not universalist... but I dont know off hand if it is Folk or not. I want to know what you classify your faith as. For the whole of us. Is your religion Folkish? And do you think that our Christian friends/members are slightly deist and/or Folkish? Hail the Tolerant! and I am going to go ahead and Do the Asatruar bit. Yes we are Folkish. And I think that our christian brothers are slighlt Deist, but not Folkish Hail the Æsir and Vanir I MEANT 2. not a2. Sorry guys originally it was one question, and I hope you can forgive the rest of my spelling errors (if any) free thinker. the first Deism WAS Christian. ^_^ Thomas Jefferson and a great deal of the founding fathers where "deist" Our religions where certainly Deistic, but the term originates from Christianity. Good answer though. I know that Christiabns in GENEral are not Deist, or Folkish at all. Im just woundering if any one thinks that our Christian friendlies are "a lil bit" Deist of Folkish

  41. Resolved Question: Would u take up your dad's ranch if u were his last & youn...
  42. 23 May 2008 at 2:53pm
My dad is a senior citzen and will turn 70 this week. My folks can retire well and easily off the savings they have now and so they don't need any help to get by. The only issue is keeping the ranch alive. I am young(age 25) but not that young. I have no interest in agriculture but i feel overwhelmingly obligated preserve my father's hard work. My greastest desire is to be a stock broker or accountant and create my own investment firm in the distant future. When i grew up on my dad's ranch, i don't recall being happy with the place very often. I was always thinking about getting out and doing something else with more exciting, more rewarding, and with more culture. My dad has had friends, who were hired hands, come up to him offering to be steward of his place as he and my mom retire. Dad, being as paranoid as he is, gave them the boot. He hasn't stated it but i think that he's hell bent on getting one of his sons to take over the place.

  45. Resolved Question: What about vehicles without seatbelts?
  46. 23 May 2008 at 2:23pm
This is just one of those "food for thought" questions. I am a faithful seatbelt wearer, and understand the penalties that can be incurred if you're not wearing one. So...if we have seatbelt laws...then why don't they have seatbelt laws for motorcyclists? I realize motorcycles aren't equipped with them, and it would be crazy to have them equipped with them...so don't get me wrong here...but how can these folks ride all day long and not be subject to the same laws as others who travel the road in their cars? Does anyone else not feel that this is right? What about our rights as a car driver? I'll be curious as to the answers. Typo: Why don't they ENFORCE seatbelt laws on motorcyclists...not why do they have them for motorcyclists. Great reply pebbles...and I agree...but they are out there on the road with the ones that have seatbelts...and the law does say you must have seatbelts in passenger vehicles...so how in the world does that not apply to anyone that is a passenger on or in a vehicle...regardless of what type it is? Please read my question folks...I even said it would be crazy to equip a motorcycle with seatbelts...I have no problem knowing why they should not be. The crux of the question is why should they be immune to the fines of car drivers, and if it's not the law for them, why should it be for anyone on the street to wear a seatbelt?

  63. Resolved Question: Are you a patriot.......?
  64. 23 May 2008 at 12:32pm
Is patriotism still alive in the USA? Some older folks wonder. During previous world wars we supported our troops whole heartedly. We flew the flag. We participated in scrap drives to help the war effort. We saluted the flag. We held our hand over our heart as we sang the National Anthem. Pride in our nation was a burning flame in our breasts. We loved our nation. We were not ashamed of it, or of saying we loved the USA. Tears would well up in our eyes as we heard the National Anthem, or sang 'God Bless America', or marched to John Philip Sousa's stirring marches. I wonder - is patriotism like this still here in the USA??? If you are a true patriot, will you please check in? This is YOUR chance to stand up and be counted.

  77. Resolved Question: Married going thru a divorce folks, what am I missing here...
  78. 23 May 2008 at 11:14am
My husband is having his sisters talk to me, saying I am crazy and don't appreciate him. My BIGGEST issue in our marriage is infidelity. He feels that he pays the rent/utilities, come home every night, and add me & my son from a prior relationship to his insurance is MORE than enough, &I am stupid b/c I focus on the chics he deal with in the streets. I need to grow up & focus on what matters (stated above). I really don't see his point of view. TRUST means EVERYTHING to me, & how can we gain that when he feels that sleeping around is ok, what he does in the streets is his business. Another issue is I work &help pay bills, PLUS do everything with the house and kids. He does nothing but come in & watch TV. My family has invited ours to come to gatherings during the holiday's, he NEVER attend them with me, but have several hotel receipts from spending time w/his flings. He said I am selfish b/c I need to focus on what he does in the house & not outside of it. I am tired and fed up Then when I did mention to him about STD's and unwanted pregnancys he told me I don't give him any credit for NOT bringing me anything home. I make him use a condom, he said I killed our bond, and really need to get my sh*t together. Any woman would love to be with him, but yet he chose to deal with me. I don't get it, what am I missing here?

I don't know the difference between any. What I do know is that my credit is jacked up, mainly with medical bills, and a repo from 2000 (that I thought should have been removed by now). I can't even get a department store credit card, have NEVER HAD any credit cards or loans, so I don't understand why I'm always denied when I know folks with much worst stuff, yet they get approved for everything. 87. Voting Question: Bank Holiday for General Elections?
  88. 23 May 2008 at 10:30am
I worked in India some years back and during the National Elections for Parliament (the Lok Sabba), there was always a national holiday. Should we not adopt that notion here in the UK. It would not apply to folk who did not vote, so would generate about 100% voting of the working population. You would get a "receipt" from the polling station which you would give to your employer. Good idea eh?

  91. Resolved Question: Semi permanent hair colour?
  92. 23 May 2008 at 10:13am
It says on the box of Nice'n easy "lasts up to 24 washes - no long term commitment - washes away gradually". I've been trying to get it out of my hair for 6 months and have a visible growth although my natural hair is a similar colour to the shade I used. I just wanted to blend away the grey Are they really "non-permanent"? If not, why are they allowed to make this claim? I've noticed a few other folk have the same problem. Of course my hair has grown in the last 6 months otherwise I would not be able to see a visible growth line. Thanks xcarribeanqueenx for your sensible answer. I agree with everything you say.

  93. Resolved Question: Hey R&P! What the heck possesses some folks?
  94. 23 May 2008 at 9:47am
Why would someone come to Y!A, find a contributor and then proceed to copy them and make them look silly? Poor Lauren of the stone age is the current target but its been done to others before and this behaivior just confounds me. i realize they must have alot of time and probably a vindictive personality but there must be a better reason Im missing. What would you do if it happened to you? 97. Resolved Question: My fiance asked me what I want as a wedding gift from him?
  98. 23 May 2008 at 9:22am
And I truly have no clue! I spent about $500 on him - Playstation 3, Video Game & gaming chair. He wants some ideas and I have no idea at all! I just want to marry him. Do you folks have any ideas of what I could suggest to him??? I did joke with him about a car! He races a Mazda Miata & has two that he drives around - I told him he could buy me an automatic one so we could have "his & hers" Miata's. The $3k price tag was a bit over his budget, though. Squishy - nice idea. But we already live together. Carrie - we originally said we weren't going get eachother gifts but then he really wanted this playstation 3 & game so I told him I would buy it for him as a wedding present. Lori - I am 32 & my fiance is 36. We're not all that young but he does enjoy video games and computer games.

  99. Resolved Question: To analyse 'success' you must measure it. Are you happy wi...

OK. Cast your mind back to the start of the season. What then did you honestly expect your team to do ? My logic told me that Rangers would close the gap on Sellick, (not too hard, following PLG), and possibly win a cup. I saw this season as a settling-in period for the new players and management team. A steadying of the ship, as it were. Rangers took Sellick to within a game of the title. They qualified for the Uefa Cup final. They gave a very good account of themselves in THE hardest group of the UCL. They are in the final of the Scottish Cup, and must be the hottest favourites in history to win it,(other than in some folks vivid imaginations), and have already won the League Cup. Therefore, I am highly delighted with my teams performance this season. Football is results-driven. My team had many great results this season. We will rebuild and be back better and stronger next year. Be in no doubt of that. Did your team have a better one than you hoped for ? Sellick fans, I know you are happy with winning the league. But are you happy with the SEASON ? Is it better than you thought it would be before it started ?< >
