  1. Resolved Question: How do I know if I'm an indigo child?
  2. 17 Feb 2008 at 12:41pm
I'm nice, I hate waiting in line, play a musical instrument, draw, I can see ghosts(sometiems), don't have a lot of patience for some people, hate rules, rebel easily, I'm considered different, my eyes are brown, I don't really have friends, and I take things very slightly. My moods change constantly and I'm really random. I've never seen my aura, it's really hard for me to see it. And I forgot to say, I'm 14 I really want serious answers, not like the first one. My skin CAN'T be indigo. It's stupid. I'm a GIRL DUMBAS*

  4. 17 Feb 2008 at 10:56am
I have recently bought panasonic KX-TG6052B answering machine with cordless phone from US. There is no "View CID" option displayed above the soft keys, However the option "Phone Book" is displayed above the one of the soft keys. I have caller ID facility enabled with my service provider. The old beetel instrument used to display the caller id information. Can anybody throw some light on what could be the problem? How can I turn on the CID on the softkeys? The instrument doesnt has the "Global Setup" option under the "Menu" As said earlier I am using KX-TG6052B instrument. Can you provide me any other method to get the View CID option displayed? Thanks for the support. I am able to solve the problem. Details listed below ================== The KX-TG6052B bought from US support FSK technology for Caller ID functionality, However the PSTN in INDIA support DTMF technology, and this is the reason for View CID getting not displayed on the instrument. I bought an DTMF to FSK convertor and added to the phone line and output of this to the instrument. The instrument works perfectly now. Thank You!!!

During the song "1979", following many of the verses from the song, you'll hear a hard to understand line that is echoed over itself (making it even harder to understand). What is being said, and most importantly, is it a vocal tape loop, or is it just a sound effect from another instrument?

I'd like to learn the violin. But I need tips on letting my mum let me play and any tips on playing. I think it's a beautiful instrument, I've been playing the flute for seven years but would like to play the violin to in order to test my knowledge and musical skills in a different instrument. I've wanted to play it for a while (the last 3,4 years in fact) Do you have any playing tips or any tips at all. How long does it take to get up to a viola or do you choose one over the other? Should I go electric instead?

  31. Resolved Question: Do you know of any jobs?
  32. 17 Feb 2008 at 12:21am
I would like to be an actress. I'm 14, just over 5 foot tall with just over shoulder length red hair which is naturally brown but i can dye it back and really rosy cheeks. I'm Australian. I've done three years of school drama and have been in two performances as a narrator and pirate I've performed countless times in choir (twice), ballet (classical for seven years, 6 times) and flute which I've been playing for seven years and I could take to most instruments. I have wanted to be an actress from the age of ten because Ithink it'd be a good oppurtunity and great fun and something to look back on later in life. Also TV has entertained me for years, I want to give something back. Does anyone know of any sites that have jobs going for 14 year old girls that can be done in Adelaide or around Adelaide, stuff like Home and away, Neighbours and such. I'm not really fussed. Does anyone know where I could find auditions in newspapers and such?

  35. Resolved Question: What song is this Music Video (indie rock?)?
  36. 16 Feb 2008 at 11:52pm
I don't know if it's a recent video, it's like three guys playing home-made instruments (looks like painted cardboard or something) I know there's a keyboard and guitar though I can't remember the third guy. The guys are painted solid colours like green and blue. Two are skinny and tall and the middle guy is a little chubbier though not fat. There is a girl in the video who is painted pink. They are all wearing clothes like sweaters that are solid colours like green and blue as well. The setting is a room with solid wall in background, no furniture, windows, etc. The music video doesn't really have a plot it's more graphic than storyline and the closest it gets to a storyline is that I think the three guys want to touch the girl but they can't. The song is not like hard rock or anything, danceable beat. I think it's indie rock but who knows. Thanks in advance, saw the video on Youtube if that helps. COURTNEY INDIE ROCK DOESN'T MEAN INDIAN! It means "independent!" And why does it matter if your Indian if you're making good music!? Your great-great-great grandwhoevers came from outside of America too (unless they're Indian/Native American of course.) I respect your opinion but you're being really narrow-minded, just because you have a different culture or skin colour from someone else doesn't mean they can't be American. Thank you Shanti but it is not by Faker. That song is pretty awesome though, thanks for introducing it to me! The song is a little similar, this genre. In the music video I'm talking about, the guys are painted solid all throughout the music video from the beginning.

  47. Resolved Question: Physics of Music? ?
  48. 16 Feb 2008 at 9:27pm
Physics relate with music, and I was wondering.. How does FUNDAMENTALS, HARMONICS, CONSONANCE, DISSONANCE, and MUSICAL INTERVALS relate to the oboe/clarinet/flute/or any other woodwind instrument? And I really wanted to know how the woodwind instrument relates to those things individually.. like, how the instrument relates to consonance, how the instrument relates to music intervals, etc. Sorry to ask for so much, I'm just really curious and really want to know how the instruments relate to those things.

  57. Resolved Question: Contribution to wedding?
  58. 16 Feb 2008 at 7:47pm
My dad is getting married soon, and they want all 7 children to contribute something, so we can feel like we are part of the wedding. I have no idea what to contribute. I can't sing, I don't play an instrument, I am terrified of public speaking. I can draw, but not people, and I can knit and sew. Any suggestions would be great :D Thanks for the suggestions. The invites are already sent out - so thats a no-go. It is not a huge fancy wedding so there is no ring pillow or ring bearer, and the cake is already planned (it is only 6 weeks away). I love the idea of the quilt. I think I have adapted a nice idea from that. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

  65. Resolved Question: Extracurricular activities: Purposeful, or bogus waste of ...
  66. 16 Feb 2008 at 5:52pm
OK back when I was in grade school/JH/HS, extracurricular activites were all the rage: be they Little League, band practice, instrument lessons, soccer leagues, club meetings, chess matches, etc; but now that I am 27 I look back and see that my former classmates arent exactly all pro MLB players, orchestra virtuosos, symphony conductors, chess champions, and award winning Fortune 500 businessmen/women and politicians, so what was all that fuss about? In my off time I was in Boy Scouts when I was younger and then took afterschool jobs in my teen years, and I think I derived a LOT more from my afterschool experiences than my peers did. To me I didn't want anything to do with extracurriculars, I felt the school already HAD their pound of flesh from me. All I ever did was faithfully attend class every day, earned good grades, did all my assignments and behaved, wasn't that enough for them? In my off hours, I made money, which instilled in me a strong work ethic and good life habits. Mike, thank you SO much for reading my question. I did NOT do extracurriculars, I did 'Scouts because I WANTED to and thought it was cool. I still do. Today you get a gold star for reading comprehension. Bob, I totally agree with that, but does that mean any kid in sports or instrument lessons has 2 parents expecting it will make him or her the next concert virtuoso or the Michael Jordan, or Joe Montana of the future?!

  70. 16 Feb 2008 at 4:25pm
I play piano and my teacher said that piano is the most rewarding and fun instrument to be able to play. I disagree, I think electric guitar is the most rewarding. I only can dream to play a guitar solo and I wish I could bust out playing like john mayer or santana. What do you guys think is the funnest instrument to play?

  71. Resolved Question: should i tell a crush i like him when we live in different...
  72. 16 Feb 2008 at 4:18pm
I've liked this one guy since i was a freshman in Highschool & he's a year older than me. I really started to crush on him when we became friends during my junior year. I think about him all the time & just like everything about him. He sings, plays instruments, is really sweet & nice, funny, shy (until u know him...like me), and just great. All we've ever really done is go to a movie whenever he's home from school (he's a Soph. in college, i'm a freshman; he's out of state, i'm in), but it's always just the two of us & one time he picked me up from home & dropped me off after. Also, he went to my senior prom with one of the girls in my group, but he danced with me pretty much the whole night (no slow dances...but still). And that same week i saw him eating alone at a restaurant i was at w/ my mom and bro so he let me 'keep him company' while he ate. He's such a great guy & i actually think we would be good together, but my self-esteem tells me we're only ever gonna be friends..... just to add: -all we ever do to keep in touch is text every now and then or talk on facebook (if he replies). i know it cant be a good sign that he doesnt call me or anything, but neither do i... -also, i told him i liked him a couple years ago b4 we knew each other better, he let me down really easy, but i think i assured him i was cool with just friends rather than nothing....this is pretty much true, but i really just wish he felt the same way. yes, things could have changed, but my self-esteem sucks when it comes to guys i like....i mean we were in choir together in high school (not in the same class but whatever..) he was the guy all the girls thought was adorable...so why would he like me? idk what to do....need help (obviously)...lol

  75. Resolved Question: do you like this?
  76. 16 Feb 2008 at 3:40pm
He held my hand and despite the compliments people had told me before, for the first time I felt beautiful. The words he spoke sang to me- a sweet symphony of instruments and I had a front-row seat. The way he wiggled his fingers became a dance between our intertwined hands. The dust that sifted from the old rocker swing we shared was no longer dust but sparkles from the angels. All I knew is that this moment couldn't have been more magical. Eventually, his softly spoken words hushed but we didn't say goodnight, at least not yet, we just sat on the old, dim lit porch. What do you think?

  77. Resolved Question: Temperature Measurement?
  78. 16 Feb 2008 at 3:35pm
I am working for a pipeline operation company. We need to obtain the temperature inside the piplines at specific points along the line at which we are expecting high temperatures. We need a non-destructive method to find out the temperature without stopping the operation of the line. Pipelines vary in size from 20" up to 56" diameter, and, contain both gaseous and liquid products. Any suggestions for instruments or technologies that provide quick low-cost solutuion? Any definite relation between the temperature of the wall and the temperature of the content of the line provided all the parameters of the line??

  79. Resolved Question: Cut Wrists?
  80. 16 Feb 2008 at 2:52pm
What's the best instrument to use to cut your wrists with? I've tried using pins and a pen knife but they don't do much. I never seem to be able to draw blood with scissors and knives. I usually use a compass because it's portable and if anyone asks I can say it's for school, but the incisions are never very deep. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a scalpel? Also, what are the best excuses for cuts on your wrists? "The cat scratched me" is starting to get old and people are getting suspicious when I change in PE. I'm not an emo. And I'm not trying to get attention.

  85. Resolved Question: clarinet care?
  86. 16 Feb 2008 at 1:54pm
Well I bought a clarinet around 6 years ago but haven't played it for the last 4. I want to sell it because it's just sitting around taking up space. But the places where the parts connect together look sort of dirty inside. (Yes, I was a lazy student) Also, one of the keys doesn't come up cleanly (sticky sound?). How should I clean it? With water? Special cleaning agent? This is the clarinet I have: http://www.buffet-crampon.com/en/instruments.php?mode=productSpecifications&pid=722
