    I currently own a modified version of Windows XP. Whenever I want to set the language for non-unicode programs under the advanced tab in regional and language options to Chinese, I always get "Setup was unable to install the chosen locale. Please contact your System Administrator." Is there any way to fix this?

    I enclosed some of my DXDIAG info to see if I can upgrade rather than buy a new PC .I recently added DVD rom, graphics card and sound card. I am ok with my current periphrals but just need to upgrade the chip and add another hard drive. Can my system handle this?     This is what I do. First, I open Control Panel, then I select Regional and Language Options. I go to Languages and, under Supplemental Language Support, I select ?Install Files for Asian Languages.? Then I am asked for the Windows Home Edition Service Pack 2. I don't think I ever had that CD. I have tried going to Microsoft and downloading this Service Pack, but I am told its already on my computer. So, I am not sure how to enable Chinese on my computer and I need to do so before I can start using the Chinese features in MS Word. Any ideas?

    I'm not a jealous person at all. I want my friends to be happy, I really do. Its just so hard for me to sit back and watch my friends leave me for their boyfriends or for some other reason. A perfect example is me and my bestfriend work together, she knows how my other friends "dumped" me. Well i understand that our job is stressful and we both are students in college and work full time. Stress is our middle name. well, we have good jobs, we have fun and work hard when we need to. its completely laid back. well, our regional manager is the devil! he's coming down and she was told by our general manager to come in on her days off (we both get tuesdays and thursdays off for school). so that leaves her with no days off and she's exhausted. i understand cause i know how it is. but she told me she wanted to move to georgia to apply at another company. and she's been talking about finding another job. i just dont want to go through the heartache of losing another friend. im just so hurt that i dont want anymore friends. im not a crazy person, im not gothic, im just a normal person. i dont understand. my old bestfriend hasnt talked to me in like three weeks because she cant stand to spend more than a minute away from her obnoxis boyfriend. i just feel like everyone i become friends with leaves me like im an ugly pet or something. I would seriously rather be alone than have my feelings hurt ir my heart torn again.

    Sorry, I know it's a little hard to understand. Comencé a tocar el violín cuando yo estaba en el cuarto grado. No me gustaba el instrumento en absoluto. Era en parte porque mis padres eran demasiado críticos de mí, pero también era porque yo era joven y no me gustaba practicar. Me marché después de un año. Ahora, lamento hacer esto porque si yo continuaba practicar sería mucho mejor ahora. En el septimo grado, comencé tocar el violín otra vez. Yo estaba en una desventaja porque yo aprendía de nuevo el instrumento mientras todos los demás mi edad ya eran muy competentes.     I've just bought Shaman King Power of Spirits for PS2, yay i though. until it arrived. Amazon had not said it was an NTSC game, i checked everything it said about the game and nothing said it was NTSC. the problem is i have a Pal PS2, so the game is supposed to not play. I'd like to ask firstly: Is there any chance the game will work on it's own (i have an NTSC compatible TV) If not is there any way to make the game work - i know about chipping but i know that tends to cause more issues than harm. If i try to play it will i damage either game or PS2 I'm getting a PS3 soon and they're multi-regional so if all else fails it should work in that right? Thanks i need a hand it's such a rare game i don't want to hurt either it or my PS2, it's 5 years old and still going strong.

    I see a few doubters making a big issue about 1 cold month. So how do you doubters explain it? If the sun was responsible for the last 3 decades of warming (as many doubter have claimed), then the sudden January temperature drop must be the result of a huge drop in solar output, right? Is there evidence to support that? Or will the intelligent (I know there are some) doubters around here admit that weather is not climate and you can't determine any trends from a single 1-month data point or any regional weather event? Eric C - I completely agree with you. And I've criticized posters on the other side that have tried to use short-term or regional warm events as proof of AGW as well. The point I'm trying to make is that everyone who cares about a truth-base discussion of this issue should agree to tell the GW illiterates around here that weather is not equal to climate. ned - I don't consider myself more caring or "more holier" (whatever that means ;-) than you, but I'm pretty confident that I'm probably better informed on the science behind GW than you are. That in no way makes me a better person, just one that's probably wasted more time studying this than anyone not working full-time in the field should.

It's a regional/cultural thing, so just go with me here. One thing that always cracks me up about these parties is the punch. I don't understand the attraction of sherbet, juice, and 7up, and I certainly don't understand how that's "fancy." So. Let's say you're at a wedding where no alcohol is served (except, you know, among groomsmen in the parking lot). Would you rather have drink options like fresh lemonade, good iced tea, and coffee or would you rather drink some pink fizzy concoction?

    My computer had a virus, and I used ComboFix to fix it. At some point while the program was running, it alerted me that it had changed my time, but that it would fix it upon restarting. It didn't. I tried to run the program again, but it did not change back. I know the way it's typically done...through Regional & Language options, however, when I'm there, the box I would type the time in is greyed out, and unable to be changed. Any suggestions?

    I am a manager at a small loan office and have been in this position for nearly 2 years. Our former Regional Manager is no longer with this company and teh new RM is a woman who has worked for our owner since day 1. This woman is impossible. She is very condescending, talks down to the mangagers and makes up her own rules as she sees nescessary. NEVER did I have such a problem with our old RM. He did his job by making we did ours, and that was that. Yes, there will almost always be someone you don't really care for in your work enviornment and most people have different management styles, but this is beyond that. She's right- no matter what. I've never had to go to the actual owner with an issue like this before, and I know I'm not the only manager who has complained. It's not an isolated incedent. She has a sense of superiority and just seems to think she's above us all. She's very rude and talks to us like children. How do I relay these problems to our owner?

    I recently received a job offer after 3 phone interviews with a competitor of the current university that I work for. I've been planning to move back home to St. Louis from Atlanta and started submitting my resume to local universities in St. Louis. After 3 phone interviews and passing a reference check, they made me an offer this past Friday, however I never met with them personally. My new manager and I hit it off really well and she wants to me to come in to meet the rest of the team the last week of this month. Should I visit the team before I give notice? Today gives me exactly two weeks to offer. My current manager and I seem to but heads because he is young and inexperienced, however I'm one of his top producers and this is my second time around working at this school. My regional director is the one who calls the shots but lives in another state. I know that when I leave at a time when they need me most my current manager would drag my name through the mud.

The problems of us that is he cant stay with me always and i should alway bear the distance when he back to his country, another one, his muslims cant with accpet the non-muslim girl and his family even cant accept when i would like muslim regional, and boz of the language ,i have no chance and never talk with them before, in fact, i have no idea of his family,he only tell me that he cant marry me boz his family will not allow his to marry a Chinese,but he cant fight with his family and relgion ,and he cant leave me and i also dont want to leave him, i feel he is selfish but i enjoy his selfish. i already know the result of our future, but i cant forgot him, should i go on this relations or just give up...

    ...only plays region two dvd's ? When I bought the dvd I was assured by my OH that our dvd player was multi regional (or I wouldn't have been daft enough to buy it). It is possible that my recordable discs only play on region 2 anyway. (I'm in the Uk).

    I have a ps3 and know that all games are region free, but with the in-built blu-ray player, which region blu-ray will it play or is it multi-regional? If it is not multi-regional, is sony going to release a software update to allow playback of multi-regional dvds? Many thanks in advance

    Eventually, if I ever get hired by a regional airline (or even major in the future), will I be able to live here in New York? I am about a half hour away from JFK, I am near Republic, MacArthur, Laguardia. Is it possible to not have to pack up and move? Do most pilots have to move far away and get an apartment? How can you afford rent on a regional airline pay?? Thanks a lot... Girls/Guys Pilots....< >
