    I downloaded some videos many months ago and they were working perfectly on windows media player. Recently i tried playing them, and i keep getting an error saying that the codecs could not be downloaded. After that all i can hear is the sound and there is no video! HELP!

    Hi there, I was working with my laptop and after that I wanted to play some music but I couldn't! I can't open any music file and I-tunes stopped working as well. When I click on the sound icon, it shows me this message: your computer can not play audio because the Windows Audio Service is not enabled, would you like to enable it? and nothing happens after I click on yes. when I scroll down with mouse on the sound icon (in right corner on desktop) it says that the audio service is not running. I tryed to restart the computer several times but it's still the same. Could you help me please??? I can not open the device manager. when i open it the window is empty

    A minister?s widow, who was old-fashioned, was going camping for a week in California. She was nervous about the bathroom facilities and decided to write a letter to the campground owner. In the process of filing, the campground owner lost the first page of the letter. When he asked his wife what BC meant, she remembered the widow?s husband was once a famous Baptist preacher. "Oh, of course!? exclaimed the staff member. ?BC stands for 'Baptist Church!'" He immediately wrote a response to the widow?s letter: Dear Madam, I apologize for the delay in answering your letter, but I have the pleasure of informing you that the BC is located nine miles north of the campground and is capable of seating 250 people at one time. I admit it is quite a distance away if you are in the habit of going regularly, but no doubt you will be pleased to know that a great number of people take their lunches along and make a day of it. They usually arrive early and stay late. The last time my wife and I went was six years ago, and it was so crowded we had to stand up the whole time we were there. It may interest you to know that right now there is a fundraiser planned to buy more seats for the basement of the BC. I would like to say that it pains me very much not to be able to go more regularly, but it is surely no lack of desire on my part. As we grow older, it seems to be more of an effort, particularly in cold weather. If you decide to come down to our campground, perhaps I could go with you the first time, sit with you, and introduce you to all the folks. Remember, this is a friendly community."

    i can make and receive calls.. but the screen is competely white... i am just going to get a new phone, but i realized all my numbers are saved in the phone memory and not my sim card.. i have the USB cable to connect it to my computer but it says I need the driver to use it... what is the exact link of where I can get that and will I be able to get the files (numbers, pictures, sounds) off my phone with that?

    OK, this club song went like "do it baby, do it baby, do it to me! do it baby, do it baby, do it to me........stop me stop me stop me" Thats all I could remember, I have a link to a sound clip that I recorded using my mobile, but the quality is so bad, if you listen closely, you can notice the "stop it stop it..." part at the end and some background music.....hope it can give you a clue...I suspect this is a club mix version of an unknown song.     I enclosed some of my DXDIAG info to see if I can upgrade rather than buy a new PC .I recently added DVD rom, graphics card and sound card. I am ok with my current periphrals but just need to upgrade the chip and add another hard drive. Can my system handle this?     I'm having some issues using Sony Vegas. I'm using the trial version of "Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8.0" or whatever it should really be called. Anyway, sometimes my videos seem to be messed up and won't play when I upload them there. There's a red square instead of the preview of the video. If I open in the trimmer, it will work again. I got finished getting my movie ready, but it won't let me actually make it. It makes a blank movie that's 2 seconds long. I reloaded the .vf file in hopes it would make the movie correctly then (which it won't) and now there's some weird noise in the audio. If I mute everything, it still plays. It's like some sound effect (no sound effects in the movie) where someone's making random tapping noises. Anyone know how to resolve this? Or know another free/trial video editing program I can use to remake my movie? >_>

    i have downloaded converters that can convert vob to 3gp, but the vob file is found in the video folder, so the 3gp file im getting has no sound, because there is an audio folder. pls dont suggests programs that requires me to pay

    So I filed my taxes as head of household because my boyfriend was livin w/ me. & he wont b claiming himself cuz he doesn't make much .But I was supportin him & feeding him & payin all the bills ( He's a FT student). On turbo tax it doesn't specify that it absolutely has an immediate family member. It gives u the option 2 put relative though.....I mean, if I said he was my cousin ( sounds weird lol) but I could really hav a cousin by marriage, either way, this is a person who I supported n my household for over 6 months. It gave me the option on relationship to dependant and it said aunt, uncle, brother, blah blah blah, & OTHER....So I put that....anyway, I hope they don't reject it, but how is it exceptable 2 claim my aunt & not my boyfriend.....I guess disability & all that could come into play but if hes not claiming himself, I should b able 2 cuz Im supportin him. anyway, some guy said the IRS would NAIL ME!!! That sounds scary, what exactly could I get NAILED w/ if Im clueless?

    A fellow walks into a pet store and asks to buy a canary. The proprietor replies, "I'm fresh out, but I DO have a parakeet." The customer insists on a canary, until the shop owner informs him that a parakeet can be made to sound like a canary if one files the beak just so. "But be careful not to file too much off, or the parakeet will drown when he goes to take a drink of water." The potential customer decides that this is complete bullshit, but thanks the shop owner politely and leaves, sans parakeet. He goes into another pet shop and asks for a canary -- no luck. "But", says the shop owner, "I do have a parakeet, and if you file the beak just so, it can be made to sound just like a canary." He goes on to explain that filing off too much beak will jeopardize the bird's life, due to the potential for drowning when he takes a drink. The fellow finally decides that there is some merit to these claims and buys the parakeet. "Besides", he thinks to himself, "parakeets are much cheaper." His next stop is a hardware store, where he wanders into the file section, holding his recently purchased bird. The owner wanders by and asks of he needs some help. The new bird owner sheepishly explains how he intends to make his parakeet sing like a canary. The hardware store owner knowingly picks up a file and hands it to him. "Here, a Nichols #2 bastard file. But be careful not to file too much off, or the poor beastie might drown." The bird and file owner thanks the hardware store owner and leaves for home. A few weeks later, the bird owner wanders into the hardware store. The owner, recognizing him, asks how he made out with the parakeet. The fellow looks down and sadly reports "Bird's dead". The hardware store owner shares his sorrow and asks "Filed off too much beak?" To which the former bird owner replies "Nah, he was dead when I took him out of the vise."

    The man sprinted down the hall, panting heavily. The sound of his heart beating heavily in his ears, the slap of his feet on the shiny linoleum echoing down the hallway and a crashing as he tripped. The man hit the ground hard. The wind knocked out of him he spun onto his back. There she stood. Her greasy blonde hair hung limply past her shoulders, her white hospital gown splattered with the same substance that was dripping from the cleaver she held in her small pale hand. Blood. The man, sprawled on his back, struggled to get away from her. The tiny killer raised her cleaver leaving one thought to run though the man's head before she cleanly hacked it in half, "She looks taller from down here." The TV was blaring a story about some minor catastrophe somewhere in the world as Delilah Loch sorted through some of the more recent cold case files. The forensic scientist worked very hard to be where she was. So much overtime and studying every disease and bodily defect she could find a scrap on. She ruled the lab like a cheer-queen rules the halls of a high school, putting the egotistical men back in their place. No case went unsolved on her watch. The folder she held contained a particularly disturbing file. Double Homicide: Female, Alexia Dennison, aged 27 Male, Matthew Dennison, aged 28 Tortured and killed in their home while their 5 year old daughter hid in a wardrobe. The girl was driven insane by the sounds of her parents screams and admitted to the Fletcher Children's Mental Institution. The newsreader read the last words with her and Delilah raised her eyes to inspect the TV. A picture of a small blonde girl stared back at her with huge, smiling, blue eyes, the name across the bottom of the screen read Camille Dennison.

    Ok so Im on turbo tax right, dude I paid like $2800 bucks in taxes and all I had to pay was on some $50 interest and it says Im only getting $139.00 back, does that sound right. Im pissed, when I was making $10,000 less a year I got like $300 more on my returns!!!!Does that seem wrong?? SO i wanted to experiment and see if I could find loop hole. I don't know much about it though and I don't wanna go to jail. So I thought ok, Ill try filing as head of household. Could that ever possibly help me But to do the head of household you have to have a "qualifying person" living with you for at least 6 mos. So my boyfriend moved in with me and he never payed rent, paid for electricity or bought food, I mean he was going to school so didn't work too much so I didn't make him pay so technically he could be a qualifying person right?? COuld I really increase my return by doing just that or would that not qualify???

    This is the second year that my ex tax refund DID NOT get offset, his SSN# is on record with FMS, he is well over $5000.00 in the rear, and his taxes has never been offset, sounds to me like FMS and IRS is not checking these people returns, too many things slip through the cracks. YES I WANT MY MONEY. and for any who replies he does file taxes and gets a refund back.

    i just heard this on the radio. A woman called 911 and the operator came on and said can you hold. She screamed no she couldn't her bed was on fire. She was put on hold anyway. She was on hold 25 seconds. OK doesn't sound so long - but stop and count 25 seconds and see how long it really is. Anyway the next operator came on and asked again what her emergency was - she said her house was on fire and her bed. The operator asked if she was still in the house and she said yes. The operator told her to get out and she said i can't i have MS. (can't spell the word). Then the woman stopped talking. She ended up dying. 15 operators were suspended - of the 15 TEN were not even on other calls when the woman called in. No charges have been filed. Should they be? What is your opinion? Unless ansolutely necessary shoudl anyone who calls 911 ever be put on hold? i.e. Unless all the operators are swamped - and if they are is that not s ign that they need to hire more?

    Hi, its really hard to explain, and i havent found any videos of what i mean. Heres one video i found, it has some of it slightly. What i want to know, what is it called when the lady is singing, like screaming kinda. What is called when they sing like that, becuase i really need to know. (Also does anyone know any .mp3, or any other music file hosted that has this sort of music feel to, like the vid i gave) In the vid the lady singing is very slow, but normally there singing (aah ah ahha ahh) very very fast and high pitched.. what is it called when they sing like that?

So like if i was listening to a song I could Remove all Guitar Sounds? and then do the same with all other instruments including vocals? If there is a way you should let me know.     ...on my Motorola Rokr z6? Okay so I found a way to transfer Youtube videos from youtube onto my phone. Which is...download the video, use a video converter program to make it work on my phone, and drag and drop the new file onto my phone's memory card. Sounds easy enough, right? Well on each video I've transferred so far...about 2 mins into each one, the sound/music just stops playing for the rest of the video. No idea why. I know I got the audio and video settings right when I went to convert the video because I checked in my phones manual... How to fix?

And again we will see lottery system in allotment of H1b. So it sounds safer if I apply for her H1b from multiple employer considering present scenario. But my main concern is it legal ?     First of all, there is a computer network at my job. The computer I was using was switched.When I logged in today I discovered that I could not sign into Hotmail nor Yahoo.I got into hotmail and dicovered I could not check my mail. Somehow,a website came up in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen near start that I found objectionable.I tried to close it but it did not respond.I shut down and started up again. This time I found a different site at the bottom before I signed in to Hotmail or yahoo. Apparently someone else was on the network. In Hotmail, I found an email sent by someone but not intended for me.I know the person who sent it and the one at the address where it was sent; but it ended up in my mailbox. My question is if this happened to me, what are the chances that my emails might be misdirected and end up in someone who knows me mailbox. The computer that I used to used was switched and I got one that I suspect has a virus. When I looked at the history, a listed website there was revealing in the sense that I would never go there.of course I cleaned the history, went to internet options, cleaned/removed the cookies and temporary internet files and raised the security level.yet, something is still wrong. When i turned the computer on after lunch I got a beep beep annoying sound.That I got on again is a miracle. What advice can you offer? I know it has to be scanned for viruses,worms etc but Wwindows will not scan without javascript.My reading of enablex or Active X leave me with questions.Please help.

    I recently heard of Windows XP for Mac. It sounds a little too good to be true, so I thought I'd ask (some very novice questions, probably): 1) How good is it (in terms of overall how it runs, lack of flaws, etc.) 2) Would is work on a Mac OS X laptop? 3) If I get it, would I be able to download Windows only programs and have them work (I'm having a hard time to play any videos that are of .mp4 format, etc. on a Mac OS X) LIke if I download something (or if I need to) download something to play .mp4 files, will it work? 4) For those who have it, what was good about it AND what was the negative side to it?     i'll mostly be using it for downloads,emulators,games, and movies, and also probably alot of file transfering and unzipping rar archives so i need hopefully nearly flawless graphics and sound high memory and high speed with both internet and non-internet use and then there's the part where i wanna downloads games onto disks from the internet like ISOs and stuff is that legal? and wut do i need to do it? also i'd like it to be a windows computer i dont trust anything else, ive used them all. no certain price range and if your a dude tryin to raise your marketing or wuter for one of the companies then get off my profile and find sumbody ignorent enough to fall for it kthx also i forgot to mention idc if its a laptop or a desk top but i would actualy prefer a laptop and do you know if vista is any good?

    Hi Guys, Well here goes, B4 i got my new PC, a guy was willing to help me with locking in the ram. Now i got my PC he got helping me but so far we havent succeeded. My Motherboard is a "ASUS M2N Sli Deluxe" MY RAM is "Cosair DDR800mhz (PC 6400) Other info that hopfully you may need u should find is in a File uploaded and Taken by Everest. (At the bottom of the same screen in my BIOS it states: "DDR2 5-5-5-18 2T") but anyway before i forget, i tried the setting changes, Yet my PC would not boot. It turns on, sounds as tho its working but blank screen. Then what id do is Take out and reinsert the Mobo Battery to reset the bios and then would boot. Running out lines now so gtg,thank you

    He said they will not issue a child support check until they have a W9 tax form on file for me. Have you ever heard of this? It sounds fishy to me. He said in order for them to garnish my ex husbands wages I had to fill out the W-9 as soon as possible so he could take it to them.

    Hi. I'm still in high school but I'm trying to gather some ideas about what I want to do when I leave school. I really enjoy physics, but I'm not excellent at maths. I'm not bad at maths, it just requires a lot of effort to do well. So what sort of engineering doesn't essentially rely on difficult mathematics? I'm not really that interested in biological or chemical related engineering. Engineering sounds appealing to me, because it's not just sitting around in an office, filing stuff all day or plotting stars on a map. I like the idea because it appears to be a more creative way of doing physics. So, what do you think? What aspect of engineering would you recommend I look into?

    For a few weeks, i haven't been able to hear and audio when i try to watch videos and such on the web, but i can hear audio when i play mp3s with itunes and stuff. I have tried to reinstall my drivers but that didn't work. Ive made sure that the sound card is enabled and made sure that the volume control file wasn't corrupted. I don't know what else to do. My sound card is Conexant and i run XP on my toshiba laptop. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! @ Colanth I checked if anything was muted and nothing was I use Firefox and IE if that helps....

    How do i add a certain part of a AVI file to the time line. (about 30 second clip from a whole movie) in windows movie maker. And can i put extra SFX in when they still talk in the clip or will it overwrite the sound that's already there Thanks

    I downloaded a VIDEO the other day. But when I went back to the forum I got it from, some said it was password-protected and others posted the password and said it will work fine. I know the password but when I try to play it there is no dialog box for it & it plays but all i can get is the SOUND. The Video doesn't show. Any one know what I can do? How do you 'unlock' a video with a PW if in fact it IS protected?? Thank you

    Hi! Ive had my Hp pavillion zv6000 since it came out and ive never had problem with it till just about 2 months ago. It keeps over heating and it hasnt just down on me yet but , when i do feel like its getting to hot i shut it down and let it rest. I purchased someitn for my desk so it keeps the laptop on a tilt so it gets more air. but its still happening. does the over heating also affect the way the computer works becuase its taking me forever wheni go into my add and remove programs to do anything...its going really slow one more thing... its getting more frequent that when i watch videos online its drags on and the sounds is getting crackaly and skipping.? any suggestions i know iam prolly gonna need a new laptop soon but i cant back up all my files and pictures with if its going slow.

    Say I use OUTLK11.ADM (from Microsoft's Outlook Resource Kit) to add Outlook settings to Group Policy on a Domain Controller (right click on Administrative Templates and add it there - installing the Office Resource Kit puts the ADM files in the Windows\INF folder). Do I have to do anything else for those settings to be applied to all desktops and users in the domain? For example, would I need to save OUTLK11.ADM to the C:\Windows\INF folder of each PC, or run GPEdit.msc on each and import the template there? Do I need to add the template to the other DCs? Would the other DC's apply the policies if the one where I installed it crashed? All I've been able to find are basic instructions that don't indicate which computer you follow them on. I'm sorry if these speculations sound totally idiotic, but I don't want to make any assumptions. Your time and expertise are appreciated.

    I cannot get any sound when I play DVDs on my computer or play DVD image files (eg iso or nrg file) which are on the hard drive. I can play windows sounds through control panel or music. All my sound driver seem OK, checked through device manager. I have used multiple media players, eg windows media player, nero showtime, power DVD and I have sound problems with all these players.< >
