    i am 16. male . 159 pounds/ 5'11 i have no problems such as diabetes etc.. in the past i used a drug called DXM known as Triple C's Once about 5 months ago. I smoke marijuana occasionaly(That is NOT laced) I was on the computer for a little bit, on a chat client when suddenly i felt a burning tingling sensation coming from my left wrist,possibly a vein? And my head felt extremely dizzy, drowsy almost as if blood was rushing to my head, i sat down on a couch and i was in a trance almost, my vision was blurred, i felt numb and i was aware of what was around me , i felt helpless...it felt like DXM , or the chokey game.. it lasted for what seemed like 1 minute , give or take. afterwards my body felt dissatched(bad spelling)? almost as if i was separated from my body. Any ideas as to what this is, maybe a symptom to a far worse problem? Please give advice, no stuff like: stOP SmOKING WEED BAD YOU GET STUPID!!! thank you, :)

    I never got into it even though a lot of my friends listen to it... don't like quite a bit of what I've heard either (but there are exceptions). Ok, so you might be asking why this is in the psychology section. Well I'm asking what effects "trance" music has on the state of consciousness. Of course, as the name implies, it is supposed to put you into a "trance" state, but I after asking my friends and doing a bit of searching on the internet, I haven?t been able to get a clear definition of what this is. When I listen to some of the trance tracks I like myself, I don't notice any change really. Now... "exploring sates of altered consciousness " [so to say] interests me (no - not drugs/alcohol :P). I would like to know what trance music is supposed to do, and if anyone has any songs that are examples of it.

    i'm using wendi friesen's untimate confidence, for self confidence,... will it have an effect on me if i go into a trance state a couple of times? i tend to fall asleep and wake up few minutes after when i listen to it at bedtime, any advices?

    its a newer song to me, no clue on how old it is, real soft spoken male artist... its not arctic monkeys or tiga... it makes you want to dance because its a real chill beat... almost trance like... at one point, he says, " on the dancefloor, the dancefloor, la da da dee, la da da dee." please help, its driving me nuts.

    And don't say it doe's not exist. You actually go through 2 stages of it before sleep, so really everyone could say yes, but I mean by a hypnotist. For me, no. PS: If anyone can give me links to a free video/MP3 that WORKS to be put into a basic hypnotic trance, please tell me!

    There's this guy that just gives me a dazed look everytime he sees me. It seems he just stops whatever he is doing ,even when he's sitting with his friends in the cafeteria and keeps following me with his eyes until I leave the room. One time I was in a room when he was there too where he kept looking at me and when I turned back to look for something and saw him still looking at me in some kind of trance. He also seems to be around me a lot always glancing and trying to make eye contact. I am not talking about some teenage kid here, this is a man probably in his late twenties who works with me. Whats going on here? Any thoughts ?

    Growing up we would play games like cat scratch and black door white doors all different colored doors and the game where you would pretend to put different things in someones head and then they would try to lift there heads and they wouldnt be able to. there was also the spiders crawling up your back spiders crawling down tight sqeeze gental breeze and then the person would get the goosebumps. also there was one where you went cocetration idiodiation people dieing chridren crying but i dont remeber the rest i wanted know if any knew or knew any others games like these.(sorry I can't spell don't mind it.)

    I've heard about it on tv and the radio. It's basically theruptic music made of hums and tones which help you relax and enter a kind of meditative trance. I've been trying to learn to meditate, which I keep failing since I can't just let my mind think of ... Nothing. My blessing of an active imagination curses me when it comes to meditation.The more I try to push things from the mind, the more things come bounding in wanting my attention. That's beside the fact. Does anyone know what I am talking about in regards to this music? Or does anyone know of some good meditation music? Preferably gotten online since I'm limted to stores. "Sounds of Nature" type cds don't work for me. Since I end up visualing the place and my imagination takes over. I could be wrong but I think I once saw them use it on The Surreal Life. The lady was humming and it ended up making the folks cry or something. Ps: I may be insane, but at least I'm not in denial of it!

    He's been doing this since the age of 2. He has been checked for walking seizures. I have never seen anyone do this before. Its like hes in his own world and blocks everything out when he does it. Someone can walk right past him and him not notice! He has already been diagnosed as ADHD.He was tested 4 walking seizures becuz of this when he was 2. When told aiout concerns to pediatrician,counselor,and psychologist, autism was not mentioned. Do u know any more signs of autism?

    all my life ive had a problem with my weight, when i was 10 i was 147 ( 10 1/2 stone )pounds, and now im 19, im 476 pounds, ( 35 stone 9 ). I cant get up out of my chair for more than a few seconds without my whole body hurting and my legs giving way, and i cant walk for a few metres with out getting breathless. I live off of takeaways ( chinese, indian, pizza ect ). I know my diet is disgusting and wrong but i cant break it, when im hungry its like im in a trance i just cant stop eating...its really annoying. I really need help and fast...

    I'm European and studying in UK. I'm a single guy who really like American dancing and American country music, and I feel being myself when listening to that music and comfortable. Only that in Britain I dont have too much connection with that culture. I dont have friends, and dont feel comfortable clubbing, and dont like most of the music here, except some house/trance genre. At Uni I have all facilities, booking rooms, sound systems to use, I only want to learn to dance by starting with what I like, I almost dont know to dance, but I'm comfortable doing what I like. I paid some Salsa classes but I cant pay forever, they are not so cheap. I can buy video tutorials but I dont know what girl would do that or how to approach her. Would a girl accept an invitation to dance all alone with a boy ?

    Are people being hypnotized?, that is what chanting is all about, lulling the mind into a receptive state. that is what the leaders of cults do,to lull the masses to their way of thinking! Kind of puts you in a trance, he could promise the most outrageous thing and people would yell: Go Obama go! Be careful America you could get what you ask for ......! Of course someone would have to bring up the racist thing!

    When i dance like this, i normally pivot on the heels and balls of my feet and sort of shuffle-step my feet along. Have i been doing it right all this time..... I cant dance like this any more in my new flat though because it REALLY annoys the people living underneath. I haven't enjoyed JakaZids - Citrus Speed in the way it was intended since 2006.

    Right... I had this dream about 2 months back and in my dream I woke up on a shelf in a petrol station lol n my mates were outside, I had ripped clothes and I asked them what had happened but they didn;t really tell me so I knocked on someones door and it was kelly Llorena's house (from N-Trance) n she told me to go a few doors away an ask at Lisa Stansfields house (wierd..I know!) so when I knocked on a little fat kid answered and started trying to gouge at my eyes so I picked him up by his feet and dangled him off the porch, he asked me to put him down so i dropped him and ran off lol he was chasing me all around my area and on the way I seen a few people that I know as I was running past... Strrrrrrrange, any1 any idea what this could mean? I often remember quite abit about dreams.
