  6. 20 May 2008 at 10:36am
Even as a fan of the USAF, I greatly respect the Navy Seals and the intense amount of training that they have to go through. My friend who's going into the Marine Corps asked me this question recently. He also admires the Navy Seals and asked me "how much sleep do those guys get during h*ll week training?" So here's my question! During the Navy Seal h*ll week training, how much sleep would a Navy Seal hopeful get during those 140-160 hours of intense physical and mental training which are designed to help select some of the best soldiers in the world (the Navy Seals yep!)?

boot camp. he fcked with me constantly until he set me up to be dropped at the rifle range during second phase. i couldnt graduate with my best friend. the last kick in the head was that he informed the killhat in my next platoon about me and he also gave me pure hell. his intentions were not at all about training me but about making my life miserable. i heard from my friend that the my first killhat got into some trouble and was busted down to private. he got what he deserves. how about the ssgt Glass DI who had numerous brutality charges. by the way, if u study your history, the present way of recruit training does not originate to the beginning of the Marine Corps 200 and what not years ago, it originated sometime during world war one. before that, recruits would join the Corps and be directly attached to their units with the NCO's training them. there wasnt a boot camp for 200 and something years. study your history. Army basic teaches more infantry then Marine boot. how many agree

Is it more difficult to be a Drum Corps International band member (DCI) or a World Class Marathon Runner? Take into consideration timed breathing and coordinated marching movements needed for DCI band. Also take into account mental toughness and difficulty of completing and competing on a international level as a world class marathon runner.

  25. Resolved Question: Is there any career that can help people in 3rd world coun...
  26. 8 May 2008 at 11:00pm
Ever since I was 9, I've planned on joining the Peace Corps after college, but I've decided that 27 months isn't enough. I've gone through high school so far, with the intention of becoming a Wildlife Biologist, but decided that it won't help people much, and having something that you do for most of your life not help anyone else in the world seems like a waste.. The only thing that I can think of is a Doctor, but I'd rather not do that, never had the will to be a doctor. Does anyone have any other ideas? Like, how does one come to work with UNICEF or some other organization such as that, and what jobs do they do? Thanks so much for the help! Namaste!

  27. Resolved Question: In WW2 what % of the American Press Corps were Jewish?
  28. 6 May 2008 at 11:28pm
Less than .05% of the front-line troops were, but Alan Whicker(who led the BBC team from Sicily to Germany) in his highly entertaining and authoritatively informative autobiography "Within Whicker's World" says all American pressmen seemed to be called Bernie Goldstein. Factor this in to the Holocaust myth, anyone who wants to discover the truth! It's not me who's denying the truth - it's you three. I don't suppose you're really stupid, so why don't you take the dirt-bags off your mouths and take a closer look at the subject. And I didn't say American Jewish reporters were vital to the myth - just a FACTOR.

  29. Resolved Question: Question for Fundamentalist Christians?
  30. 6 May 2008 at 6:40pm
I am a Christian and was how others balance their careers and keep ambition out of the picture. Obviously you have to have some sort of ambition to get promoted (I am in the Marine Corps and they design the promotion system to be competitive). They tailor you to be selfish to get promoted. But I don't want to have lustly selfish ambition, for living in the flesh is not of God but of the prince of this world. This causes jealousy/ strife etc. We are supposed to be content to just have food and clothing, but getting promoted requires making yourself look better than others. Obviously there is a delimma in every part of the Christian walk, but I am stuck mentally. Jesus said (and I truly believe HIM) we must lose our lives to save it. How do you balance the Christian walk with the sinful wordly broken system??? I've been in the Marine Corps nearly 7 years and fear God, I would rather give up my career than to displease God. But I have a wife+3 kids. Help pls.

  31. Resolved Question: Apply Military Maintenance exp. to Corporate World?
  32. 5 May 2008 at 1:00pm
Hey guys. My boyfriend of 4 years is FINALLY getting out of the Marine Corps. (1 1/2 years to go!) and we're trying to figure out how he could get a job relatively close to me (SUNY Buffalo). He's a CDI right now, meaning he's doing inspections in maintenance. There aren't a lot of jobs turning out on our queries, and I was wondering if there's an easy way to make it into the corporate end (Y'know, a desk job; nice and safe, lol). IE: Will the experience he has help in any other fields in aviation? I don't want to lose all of my credits earned here; essentially starting my bachelor's program over again, and I don't want to wait another 4 years (I'm going to be a sophomore, but I'll probably take 5 years to get my BA since I'm working full time) to be with him. This 5 year A.D. thing has been hard enough for us. Any suggestions? C'mon guys. Aren't ya supposed to know this stuff? Or do you just give personal experiences from boot camp and spit out qualifications for different branches?

If hillary and obama have their way on windfall profit taxes, exxon as teh only american corp will be hardest hit. 41. Resolved Question: To Marine5?
  42. 30 Apr 2008 at 8:43pm
Sir, first and formost I would like to thank you for your service to the marine corps. However, I would like to also respond to your answer and your insulting of me, on regards to myself wanting to serve the United States by attending the U.S. Naval Academy in Annopolis. It seems to me that the U.S. armed forces need all the help they can get as their recruiting numbers are below average. You called me a mama's boy, due to my lack of physical fitness, but I would like to remind you that during the Civil War, World War 2, the Vietnam Conflict, and many other wars the United States called on Mama's boys to fight for their country and in many cases where victorious. So Once again I thank you for your service but never tell me I can't do something, thank you. P B P.S. (just making a point) The marines has been letting in alot of felons and so called Mama's Boys in to their ranks.

  46. 30 Apr 2008 at 6:08am
me and my girlfriend have been dating for almost 2 years now. i joined the marine corps 2 years ago straight out of high school, but it didn't work out for me due to an asthma attack that i had while in basic. we didn't start dating until after i returned home from basic and being disappointed in myself and all. my gf asked me out wow! right! after liking me for an entire year. anyway we wanted to live together, but we couldnt live decent out in the civilian world so we both agreed that she would try the air force. she was in basic for like 2 weeks and she said she wanted to kill herself because she couldnt handle the stress. that was like a punch in the stomach to me, its one thing if u quit on yourself, but on the person who you love right?

  49. Resolved Question: Research Report question. I'll give best answer!?
  50. 29 Apr 2008 at 10:24pm
I have to write a 1,000 word research report. i'm doing my on ernest hemingway. so far it's 256 words. If you could please tell me what you think of it and how I could improve it, I would really appreciate it. Let me know what you think. I'll give best answer. here it is: Ernest Miller Hemingway was a very talented man. He was very much interested in reading and writing and grew up to be an American novelist, short-story writer, and a journalist. When most people hear his name, they immediately think of him as being just a writer. But what most people do not know is that he was involved in the war. In October of 1917, Hemingway began his writing career as a reporter for The Kansas City Star. Although he only worked at the newspaper for six months, The Star named Hemingway its best reporter of the last hundred years. He left this job on April 30, 1918 in hopes of joining the United States Army to witness action in World War I. He ended up joining the Red Cross Ambulance Corps because he failed to pass a medical examination that would have been key to getting into the army. While he was working for the Red Cross Ambulance Corps, he was on his way to the Italian front. He stopped in Paris, which at that time, was under constant bombardment from German artillery. Instead of staying at the Hotel Florida, where he would be relatively safe, Ernest took a risk by staying as close as he could get to battle. Shortly after arriving on the Italian front, Hemingway began witnessing the barbarities of war. An ammunition factory near Milan blew up while on his first day of duty. Hemingway had to pick up human, mainly female, remains. This first encounter with death left him shaken.

  57. Resolved Question: Who will remember our gallant soldiers?
  58. 23 Apr 2008 at 2:40am
I will, Lest we forget Not bad for a little country Wednesday April 23, 04:23 PM Anzac is a name enshrined in our history Enlarge image As New Zealand prepares to honour its war dead on the country's 93rd Anzac Day on Friday, Ian Stuart of NZPA looks at some of the names, terms and traditions which have grown from the day of remembrance. Twenty-one-year-old soldier Keith Little had no idea of the tradition he was about to put a name to when he ordered a rubber stamp in December, 1914. Five months before the disastrous Gallipoli campaign moulded two nations, the Wellington-born journalist-turned soldier was a clerk at the headquarters of Lieutenant General William Birdwood, the British commanding officer of the joint Australian and New Zealand force that had assembled in Egypt. The Australasian Corps had been suggested as the name for the Australian and New Zealand soldiers preparing for Gallipoli but was rejected. Little was believed to have come up with the name ANZAC -- the Australian New Zealand Army Corps. ADVERTISEMENT The name became part of military history and has become the heart of much of what the two countries stand for and what their soldiers, survivors and their families and friends went through at Gallipoli and military conflicts that followed. In August, 1916, only a few months after Gallipoli was evacuated, a law was passed prohibiting the use of the word `Anzac' in business or trade promotions, further enshrining the Anzac legend and the sanctity of the commemoration. April 25 became a public holiday in 1921. Some memorable terms, traditions and names include: - ANZAC DAY: Now a national holiday and a national day of remembrance for all casualties of war. APRIL 25, 1915: The day New Zealand and Australian troops landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula and died in their thousands. ANZAC COVE: The beach where troops landed and hugged the sand hills as Turkish defenders put up a murderous fire to drive them back. CHUNUK BAIR: The top of the ridge which was taken briefly by soldiers of the Wellington Battalion led by Lieutenant Colonel William George Malone before the Turkish soldiers regrouped, counter-attacked and threw the New Zealanders off. The New Zealanders got further than any other Allied troops and were the only ones to see the Narrows. Malone was killed during the Chunuk Bair assault on August 8. CASUALTIES: 2721 New Zealand soldiers died. 8709 Australians, 33,072 British, 10,000 French and 87,000 Turkish soldiers also died. LAURENCE BINYON: The man who wrote `For the Fallen' first published in The Times newspaper in London in 1914, when he said his subject was war and the pity of war. His most memorable verse read: They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun, and in the morning We will remember them MUSTAFA KEMAL: The inspirational Turkish soldier who told his men he was not asking them to attack, but to die as they threw the invaders off the peninsula. He also wrote the memorable words now cast in stone on the Anzac Cove beach to his fallen enemies. "Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives, you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore, rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehemets to us where they lie side by side in this country of ours. You, the mothers who sent their sons from far away countries, wipe away your tears, your sons are now lying in our bosoms and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they become our sons as well." He was later known as Ataturk, the Father of All Turks and in 1923 became the first modern president of the Republic of Turkey. CYRIL BASSETT: The New Zealand corporal who was the only New Zealand soldier to win a Victoria Cross for bravery on Gallipoli. He was 23 when he landed with the first wave of New Zealand troops on April 25, 1915. Four months later on August 7, as the Kiwis defended Chunuk Bair, Bassett laid a telephone line to the new position in broad daylight and under heavy fire from the Turks. He continued to repair and maintain the line day and night under the Turkish guns. SIMPSON AND HIS DONKEY: The English medic John Simpson Kirkpatrick and his donkey Murphy, also known as Duffy or Abdul. For 24 days after April 25 Simpson led Murphy as he carried wounded soldiers down to the beach first aid stations before a Turkish soldier shot him dead. He was 22 and had enlisted with the Australian Imperial Forces in August, 1914, under the name John Simpson, believing he would get back to England after deserting from a merchant ship in Newcastle, New South Wales, in 1910. One of the most asked questions by Anzac troops was: "Has that bloke with the donk stopped one yet?" Simpson never won military honours for his bravery but was recommended for the Victoria Cross the month after he died and in 1967. In another twist, one of the most famous paintings of Simpson and his donkey, by New Zealand artist Horace Moore-Jones, does not actually portray Simpson. The painting was taken from a photograph of New Zealand medic Dick Henderson although Moore-Jones, also a Gallipoli veteran, believed the photograph was of Simpson when he painted it in 1917. POPPY DAY: One of the oldest national appeals, usually on the Friday before Anzac Day. Poppies became the symbol of sacrifice and remembrance after French woman, Madame E Guerin, suggested artificial poppies be made by widows and orphans of dead soldiers. They could be sold to benefit veterans and destitute children of northern France. In 1921, 350,000 small poppies and 16,000 large silk poppies were bought by the New Zealand Returned Services Association. The ship delivering the poppies was delayed and instead of Poppy Day being held on Armistice Day (November 11 when World War 1 ended) it was held the following year on the Friday before Anzac Day. DAWN SERVICE: A service of remembrance each year for the fallen, timed for dawn because on April 25, 1915, the first soldiers landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula at dawn. THE FIRST SERVICE: In 1916 in London 2000 Australian and New Zealand soldiers marched through the city on April 25. A London newspaper called them "the Knights of Gallipoli." NZ CONTRIBUTION: In 1914, New Zealand had a population of slightly over one million. After the war began 124,211 mobilised, and of those 100,444 went overseas. It was 10 percent of the country's population and 40 percent of eligible men between the ages of 20 and 45. Per capita New Zealand made the biggest contribution to World War 1 of any country in the dominion. CEMETERIES: New Zealand Gallipoli dead lie in 24 cemeteries on the peninsula. Some have their names in memorials because they could not be identified or found. Others also lie in cemeteries around the Mediterranean after they were wounded on the peninsula and died after being evacuated to hospital. EVACUATION: Anzac troops were evacuated by December 16 and British troops left Cape Helles by January 9, 1916. GALLIPOLI SLANG: The campaign introduced several new slang words, including Abdul (Turkish soldier), Anzac button (nail used instead of a button to hold up army trousers), Auntie (Turkish broomstick bomb), Banjo (shovel used for digging trenches), Beachy Bill (Turkish gun that regularly shelled Anzac Cove), Body snatcher (stretcher bearer or member of a raiding party sent to capture Turkish prisoners), Clout (a wound), Coffin nail (cigarettes), Cricket ball (Turkish hand grenade), Digger (New Zealand tunnellers digging under enemy lines), Gallipoli gallop (diarrhoea), Gypo (Egyptian), Greyback (louse), Lazy Liz (big shell which droned overhead from HMS Queen Elizabeth), Luna Park (Cairo Hospital), Rock chewer (dry army biscuit), Short arm inspection (genital inspection for venereal disease).

Global Warming is a very important issue today. Though it is mostly accepted by the media and public, there is more information behind global warming that you may not know about. Since global warming is theorized today as being caused by humans, there is information that proves that we are actually a very small cause of it. Researchers have found that in our earth?s history, similar effects of warming have been present millions of years ago, and continue to happen today. The leader on the issue of global warming, Al Gore, has produced a well-known film on this issue. However, most of the facts throughout his movie, ?An Inconvenient Truth?, have been proven as ?substantially inaccurate? (Monckton 3). Global Warming is a natural phenomenon. Global Warming is an increase in temperature in the earth?s atmosphere. This increase may be due to the trapping of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, which hold the heat we receive from the sun. Greenhouse gases do not just include carbon. In fact, CO2 is less than 3 percent of all greenhouse gases. Water vapor takes up the other 97 percent. The rest are methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone and trace gases. Many people pollute by burning fossil fuels, which puts carbon into our atmosphere. But plants feed on carbon and release oxygen. A study by Dr. Kevin Telmer, Assistant Professor in the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of Victoria, and Dr. Jan Veizer, Professor of Geology at the University of Ottawa, shows that the larger amounts of water vapor in the atmosphere at higher temperatures permit more carbon to be absorbed by plants. This means that when the world heats and more water is evaporated into the air, plants will absorb more carbon. Therefore the system regulates itself to deal with climatic changes (EnviroTruth). Before humans inhabited the earth, the world has actually been through far more extreme changes than what we see today. The natural cycles of our earth?s history have shown that carbon levels have risen and fallen even when humans didn?t inhabit the earth. Current Ice core records show that at the end of each of the last three major ice ages, temperatures rose several hundred years before carbon levels increased. Researchers at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics have found that our century isn?t the most warm or extreme of weather over the past 1,000 years. The last time the earth has seen a hint of warming was during the Medieval Warm Period, which ranged from 800 to 1300 A.D. Following the Medieval Warm period was the Little Ice Age, which was from 1300 A.D. to 1900 A.D. This shows that the earth changes temperature even without humans? carbon emissions. Dr. Petr Chylek, Professor of Physics and Atmospheric Science at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, concludes that ?It is highly probable that the global average temperature will go up and down during future years regardless of what we do? (EnviroTruth). Some facts distributed to the public by Al Gore and the reasons most believe global warming is caused by humans are inaccurate. The first nine errors and exaggerations in Al Gore?s movie, ?An Inconvenient Truth?, were presented by the Judge of High Court, London, in 2007. There were also twenty-six more errors throughout his movie that were not looked upon by the court because the court did not have time to look upon any more than those nine errors (Monckton 3). In Al Gore?s movie, he explained that a sea-level rise of 6 meters will be caused by the melting of either West Antarctica or Greenland. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), who had won the Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore, has said that a sea-level increase 7 meters above today?s levels has happened naturally in past climates. The IPCC calculated that in the next 100 years, the two ice sheets will add 6 cm to sea level. Al Gore exaggerated this fact by 10,000% (Monckton 4). He also claims that carbon dioxide drives the temperature up, but this is actually the other way around (Monckton 6). According to Center for Science and Public Policy, and Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change, sometimes carbon dioxide and temperature are out of sync with each other; when one rises the other may fall. Other times, one can be on the verge to a higher or lower level, while another is in stasis. Even when both are in harmony, temperature almost always moves first, and by hundreds to thousands of years (8). Among the many other errors, Al Gore also said that Hurricane Katrina was manmade; which leaves us responsible for the deaths and destruction. But the real truth is that Gore?s Party, which is in the administration of New Orleans, ignored 30 years of warnings from the Corps of Engineers that the dams and levees could not stand a direct hit from a hurricane (Monckton 8). Ultimately, global warming is happening but not by means of human emissions; it is truly a natural occurrence. Before human life appeared on this planet, the earth has seen far more changes than what one may see in a lifetime. Some of the facts our media gives us on global warming are not always true, but who would question the facts they release to the public? The calculations and information may seem believable, but do we really know they are correct? Or do we just believe what we hear and accept it as the truth? If we could only focus on the positive side to global warming, we would understand the benefits that it will bring to us. Whats wrong with someone copying it? Copying others' work will catch up to them someday. lol @ chocho

  66. 17 Apr 2008 at 3:14pm
Why would an older motherboard with an Intel 1.61 GHz processer and 1 GB of RAM outperform a new computer with an Intel 3.2GHz Pentium D processer and 4 GB of RAM on frames per second in World of Warcraft? Both computers have the same video card GeForce 8800 GTS and are on the same internet connection at home. The older computer gets consistently 60fps and the newer computer gets 20 fps. Could it be that the weak link in the newer system is the motherboard? It is a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L. Or do you think that getting a better processer would make more of a difference? 68. 17 Apr 2008 at 10:14am
I just lost everything. I figure what better time than now to fulfill my dream of being an international volunteer. Unfortunately, I had the Peace Corps in mind, and they only want college grads or people with sufficient knowledge and/or experience in different trades. I have neither. I would really like to help make a difference in this world, but at this point, I don't know where to look.

  71. Resolved Question: HILLARY expressed her ideas of what BUSH should have done ...
  72. 16 Apr 2008 at 2:30pm
Bush should have encouraged young people to join the Peace Corps and Ameri Corps (and her proposed Green Corps). Bush should have pursued Universal Education to the millions of children around the world who do not have access.....and other things of this nature. She said this yesterday in a speech - that this should have been our reaction to 9/11....how is that a legitimate response to being attacked by terrorists?? They showed the speech on C-Span. It was from yesterday. I believe she was wearing the blue pantsuit. I will try to find it for you... Jus think of the days after September 11th. Imagine if President Bush had tapped into the wellspring of American energy, initiative and goodwill. The president could?ve launched a Manhattan project for renewable energy, the president could have called on our young people to serve in the Peace Corps or AmeriCorps help to start what I?ve advocated, a Green Corps. The president could?ve said we need to reach out to the rest of the world because clearly the world needs to be as committed to ending acts of horrific terrorism as we are. The president could have responded to our health challenges by investing in public health here and around the world. The president could?ve said we need to be smarter about how we engage with the rest of the world so let us lead in trying to make education more universally available to the 77 million children who are shut out, including in countries like Pakistan where too often the young boys are then turned over for indoctrination to the Madrassas because there are no alternative. The president literally could have access to do anything, called on our patriotism and our unity. But he only asked us to draw on our wallets and go shopping. http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/speech/view/?id=7115

The UN inspectors all agreed that Iraq was no threat. Pre war Meaning Bush was lying. Most Iraqis think we are an invading force that will never leave. The top 1% own 42% of the wealth but only pay 23% of the federal taxes. They tend to think that socialism is a failed system of govt when most successful countries are more socialist than we are. They do not know that our corporations use our govt to coerce other countries into letting the corps control their resources. Creating hatred for america, this is the second largest cause of 9/11. Our support of israel and its use of aggression in the muslim world is the single greatest cause. Our federal reserve is a private bank that we pay interest and allow to control our currency, with consequences far greater than anyone admits.

  77. Resolved Question: After a 4 year enlistment, what are my options?
  78. 11 Apr 2008 at 2:26am
I got out of the Marine Corps 2 years ago. I did 4 years active, I have 2 years left inactive. I'm considering going back in. My husband stayed in and he has 2 years left in his active contract too. Which is why in a perfect world, there would be 2 year enlistments in the Marine Corps, so we could get out at the same time. I'm just now learning about the "National Call to Service Initative", Would that even apply to prior enlisted? And what branches does that include? I know, realisticly, I can't have my cake and eat it too but I just wanted to see if any one could shed some light.

Anzac Day is commemorated by Australia and New Zealand on 25 April every year to remember members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who landed at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I. It is the most important National military day in these two countries. Day long services and celebrations are held. In honor of of any Veteran who has served in any War (even my late husband from America), descendants of those Veteran's are allowed to wear the deceased's medals and awards. This year my current husband and I have been invited to be a part of the service and celebrations. In honor of my late husband, I plan to wear his service awards and medals, however, I am not quite certain in which order they are to be warn. Here is a list of the medals awarded Air Force Commendation Medal Good Conduct Medal A R Merit Bronze Star National Defence Viet Nam Service Can anyone advise the proper placement and order in which they should be worn. Thank you. I have the large ribbons with the medals attached, not the small little rectangular medals -- are you allowed to wear those? I want to do the correct thing so I need all the advice I can get.

  83. Resolved Question: We do buisness with China so why not Cuba?
  84. 6 Apr 2008 at 12:20pm
How long will this personal vendetta against a tiny island country with a leader who stood for what he believed was best for his people? A old dark skinned cuban I met in miami told me "I met castro once and he hugged me so, but I was never a nigger until I came here to the states". Many Americans dont realize that yes we live in the greatest country on the earth, but we're no angels trust me! I served nearly nine years in the Marine Corps and I didn't question orders I just followed them and when I say the public doesnt know the half, trust me. You people of African descent. Did you know that it was Fidel Castro who helped to liberate Angola and south africa from their white oppresors(facts not a swipe at whites). If it wasnt for Castro Mandela would still be in jail. How come that was never on the news? What did the US do to help liberate them? After being ousted by the US for over 40 years and on top of that being a third world country. Castro still offered help during Katrina!

Betrayed by the world, she can no longer deal. She lyes in her bed and stairs at the wall, Not moveing, bearly breathing, giving no reaction at all. Withering slowly, Unable to hold on, Her last breath is taken, It's time to go home.

  91. Resolved Question: Why do people think the president works for the people?
  92. 28 Mar 2008 at 5:12pm
Everyone thinks the president has the people best interest in mind. However its fun to look at past and current campaign contributers and you can see what agenda the president will push while in office. You have to realize these corps. need to be paid back, why else would they contribute millions. Perfect example in 2000 and 2004 Bush's biggest contributer was MBNA (the largest credit card company in the world.) what did bush do in 2005? H e made it nearly impossible to file BK. So when are next president is elected check to see his top ten contributers, and you will see who he is working for http://www.opensecrets.org/2000elect/contrib/P00003335.htm

  95. Resolved Question: People Like To Talk?
  96. 25 Mar 2008 at 9:42pm
Today, I was informed that my close friends have been saying that I drink like crazy, skip class, and have relations with a 21 year old male Marine. They say I'm 2 faced for saying that people should be more mature yet I do these bad things. They say I've changed a lot and am seeking attention. Only one person told me this today while we were arguing about my decision to join the Marine Corps. Let me start by saying that I have a best friend who is 21 and he means the world to me, but we have never been in a relationship nor have we ever had sex. I skipped 8th period one day but who doesn't? I don't even skip class that much and I'm on top of my game as far as grades go. I did drink last weekend with 20 people, family and friends and it was a holiday. I don't even drink that much AT ALL. I would never seek attention and I have changed but in a positive way for sure. What effects me the most is knowing that the people I told these harmless things to are saying it to others and making it seem as if I'm a terrible person. I've been raised in a strict family and I know my right and wrong and these people do 10x worse things than I would ever think of doing. I don't know whether I should believe this person but I want to get this cleared out...how should I deal with it?
